The next few days were calm and peaceful. Isy and Adele spent a lot of time together with Archie, allowing Isy to bond more deeply with him.

One Saturday morning, Isy woke up earlier than usual. She lay in bed, quietly watching Adele as she slept. Adele's face was serene, her chest rising and falling in a gentle rhythm. Isy couldn't help but smile at how beautiful and peaceful she looked.

After about an hour, Adele began to stir, her eyes slowly fluttering open.
"Good morning, my sunshine," Isy whispered with a warm smile, leaning in to place a soft kiss on Adele's forehead.

"Good morning," Adele replied, her voice still husky with sleep. She turned toward Isy, her expression curious. "How did you sleep?" she asked, knowing that Isy had been struggling with the adjustments and changes in their lives recently.

"Better than the last few nights," Isy admitted, her fingers lightly tracing Adele's jawline. "Do you have any idea how much I love you, Ms. Adkins?" she whispered, her voice filled with emotion as she gently pulled Adele closer and kissed her with deep affection.

Adele's lips curled into a wide grin as she pulled back slightly from the kiss. "And I love you," she responded, her eyes sparkling with joy.

"I'm taking Archie to my mom's today," Adele said after a moment, her tone playful. "She has something planned for him, so we have the whole day and tomorrow to ourselves..." There was a hint of mischief in her voice that made Isy's heart skip a beat.

"Is that so?" Isy teased, a playful glint in her eye. "I never would have guessed you had such a... strong appetite," she added with a smirk, recalling how shy Adele had been when they first met. She leaned in again, capturing Adele's lips in another passionate kiss.

Adele responded eagerly, her hands slipping around Isy's waist, pulling her even closer. "I can never get enough of you, baby," she murmured between kisses, her breath warm against Isy's skin. "Everything about you drives me wild."

As their kiss deepened, something new and unexpected happened. Adele slowly, almost hesitantly, let her tongue meet Isy's, turning their kiss into something more intense and intimate. It was a moment of pure connection, one that left both of them breathless.

When they finally pulled back, Isy couldn't help but grin at Adele, her heart racing. "You've got quite the fire in you today, madam," she teased, her voice full of admiration.

Adele's laughter was light, her cheeks flushed with happiness.

Later in the day, after they had enjoyed breakfast together with Archie, Adele took him to her mother's house for the weekend. With the house now quiet, Isy wandered into the garden. The space was stunning, with vibrant flowers in full bloom and tall trees providing dappled shade. The tranquility of the garden was exactly what she needed, a perfect escape from the recent whirlwind of emotions and changes.

She stretched out on a large, comfortable couch nestled in a cozy corner of the garden, where the scent of jasmine drifted on the gentle breeze. The warmth of the sun and the soothing sounds of rustling leaves quickly lulled her into a deep, much-needed sleep. Her body was catching up on the rest it had been deprived of during the past few nights of tossing and turning.

When Adele returned home, she stepped into the garden and immediately spotted Isy, fast asleep on the couch. The sight of her partner, so peaceful and relaxed, brought a tender smile to Adele's lips. She stood there for a moment, just watching her, feeling a deep sense of love and gratitude.

But as if she could sense Adele's presence even in her sleep, Isy began to stir. Her eyes fluttered open, and she blinked a few times before focusing on Adele, who was now sitting down beside her.

"Hey there," Adele greeted softly, her voice filled with warmth as she reached out to brush a stray lock of hair from Isy's face. "How are you feeling?"

Isy stretched a little and smiled up at her, still groggy from her nap. "I'm okay," she replied, her voice thick with sleep. "Why do you ask?"

Adele sighed softly, her concern evident in her eyes. "You've been having trouble sleeping the last few nights... and now you're falling asleep out here in the garden because your body is exhausted. Isy, I'm worried about you. I don't want all of this to overwhelm you, and I certainly don't want you to start having heart problems again because of the stress."

Isy was touched by Adele's concern. She reached out and took Adele's hand, squeezing it gently. "Sweetheart, I'm really okay. I promise," she said, her voice filled with reassurance. "It's just been a lot of change at once, but I'm handling it. Please don't worry so much."

Adele looked into Isy's eyes, searching for any signs that she wasn't telling the whole truth, but all she saw was love and sincerity. Still, the worry in her heart lingered. "I just can't help it," Adele admitted quietly. "I've seen how much stress can affect you, and I don't want you to go through that again. I love you too much to let that happen."

Isy's expression softened even more, and she pulled Adele down onto the couch with her, wrapping her arms around her from behind. Adele settled into Isy's embrace, her back resting against Isy's chest as Isy held her close, her chin resting on Adele's shoulder.

"Listen," Isy began, her voice gentle yet firm, "just because I've been a little short on sleep doesn't mean I'm going to end up in the hospital again. I'm stronger than I used to be, and I have you to thank for that. You've helped me through so much already."

Adele sighed, feeling some of her tension melt away as she listened to Isy's words. "I know you're strong," she said, her voice softening. "I just can't stop myself from worrying about you. I love you so much, and the thought of anything happening to you..."

Isy tightened her arms around Adele, kissing the side of her neck softly. "I know, babe. And I love you for caring so much. But we have these two days just for us, and I want to spend them enjoying each other, not worrying. Let's make the most of it, okay?"

Adele smiled, finally relaxing completely into Isy's embrace. "You're right," she agreed, her voice lightening. "We should be focusing on us, on this moment. I'm sorry for letting my worries get the better of me."

"There's nothing to apologize for," Isy whispered, her lips brushing against Adele's ear. "We're here together, and that's all that matters right now."

Adele turned slightly in Isy's arms, looking down at her with a smile that was both playful and tender. "So, what do you want to do with our time alone?" she asked, her tone teasing as she let one hand trail up Isy's arm.

Isy chuckled, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she leaned down to kiss Adele's lips softly. "I have a few ideas..." she murmured, her voice low and suggestive. "But first, let's just enjoy being here, like this."

Adele nodded, her smile widening as she snuggled closer to Isy, content to let the rest of the world fade away. They lay there in the garden, wrapped in each other's arms, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of their love, savoring the rare and precious moments of peace and intimacy they shared.
