Adele and Isy stepped out of the car to a whirlwind of flashing cameras, their hands tightly clasped. The noise from the crowd was overwhelming, but the familiarity of Isy's hand in hers grounded Adele. She shot Isy a reassuring smile before gently guiding her forward with a firm but soft touch to her back, urging her along the red carpet.
They were immediately engulfed by photographers shouting their names, hoping for the perfect shot. Adele leaned toward Isy, her voice soft amidst the chaos. "Just breathe, love. You're doing amazing," she whispered, sneaking a quick kiss on Isy's temple.
Isy blinked, a little dazed but nodded, her hand squeezing Adele's tighter. "There are so many people... I didn't expect this," she admitted, her voice barely audible over the crowd.
"I know, but we've got this," Adele reassured her as they began walking again. She kept her hand possessively around Isy's waist, the connection never breaking, even as cameras followed their every step.
Inside, the atmosphere was just as electric. The grand chandeliers hung from the ceiling like dazzling stars, and the sound of laughter and conversation filled the space. As soon as they stepped into the glamorous venue, Adele pulled Isy back to her side, holding her close again. She leaned in, her lips brushing against Isy's ear. "You were incredible out there," she murmured before planting a soft kiss on her cheek.
Isy smiled, cheeks flushed, and whispered back, "I felt like I was about to faint."
Adele chuckled and nuzzled against her for a brief second. "You hid it well. We should get you something to drink."
They slowly made their way through the opulent hall, but their progress was constantly interrupted by a parade of celebrities. Beyoncé was the first to stop them, exchanging hugs with Adele and showering her with compliments. "You look stunning, as always," Beyoncé said, her smile radiant.
"You too, B," Adele replied warmly, keeping one arm around Isy's waist as if silently introducing her to everyone without words. "This is Isy," she added proudly.
Isy smiled shyly, giving a small wave. "Hi... I mean, wow... hi."
Beyoncé laughed. "It's lovely to meet you, Isy. Adele's talked about you a lot." With one more smile, Beyoncé moved on, giving them space, but not without leaving Isy breathless.
"Beyoncé... I just talked to Beyoncé," Isy said in awe, her voice barely containing her excitement.
"And you didn't faint! That's progress," Adele teased, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
As they walked a little further, Lady Gaga stopped them next, looking glamorous in a silver gown. "Adele, darling!" she exclaimed before pulling Adele into a warm hug. She then turned to Isy with a playful grin. "And who's this?"
"This is Isy, my better half," Adele said with a proud smile, tightening her grip on Isy's waist.
Isy blushed. "It's... it's an honor to meet you," she stammered, feeling overwhelmed by how casually all these stars interacted.
After a brief chat with Gaga, they finally approached their table. Adele led Isy to her chair and pulled it out for her. "Sit, love. I'm sure your legs are shaking by now."
"Did I really just talk to Lady Gaga?" Isy asked, still in a daze, her eyes wide with disbelief.
"You did, babe," Adele confirmed, smoothing down Isy's dress as she sat next to her. "Was our first conversation as overwhelming for you?"
Isy laughed, "Oh, it was worse. My brain just short-circuited back then."
Adele grinned, leaning in to kiss Isy on the lips, a quick peck. "I had no idea you were such a fangirl," she teased, clearly enjoying watching Isy gush.
Isy chuckled. "Well, I mean, how often does someone like me get to meet Beyoncé and Lady Gaga in one night?"
Adele leaned back in her chair, a playful glint in her eyes. "Stick with me, babe, and you'll meet them every year."
A waiter came by, handing them the drink menu. Adele raised an eyebrow, noticing how focused Isy was on the list. "So, what's it going to be? Fancy champagne? Maybe something stronger to calm those nerves?"
Isy's brows furrowed as she scanned the menu. "I don't know... maybe a cocktail? I'm too overwhelmed to choose."
Adele smiled, flagging down the waiter. "Get her your best cocktail. Something smooth, not too sweet. And I'll have my usual." She turned to Isy, placing a hand on hers. "I've got you covered."
Isy finally relaxed a little, looking around the room in awe. "I can't believe we're here. This feels... unreal."
Adele squeezed her hand. "Welcome to my world, love. Just take it all in. We're here together, and that's all that matters."
