Date With Yuqi

Y/n POV

"I don't really like that girl." Yuqi spoke. "Karina. I dunno why she doesn't like you. We've always been close, since we met in like 2nd grade, but she seems extra protective towards me since..." Y/n began as he recalled the mall incident. "Since what?" Yuqi asked. "A guy tackled me through a pane of glass over a Christmas present. I think she feels guilty because the present the guy wanted to get, he was going to give it to her." I finished. "That was you?! I heard about that, but I didn't know it was you! Are you okay? Do you need anything??" Yuqi spoke nervously. "I'm fine babe..." Y/n began, but stopped when he realized he called her babe. She blushed hard and looked away. 

"Look, an arcade!" Yuqi said as she saw an arcade with racing games, a boxing glove strength tester, and a bunch of other attractions. "Let's go!" She said as she grabbed my hand and ran into the arcade. She ran over to the card machine first. "Aren't we a little old for this?" I jokingly said as she stopped in front of the machine. "Not really, we're still teenagers. It'll be fun, I promise. I can show you around." She said as she started to get the cards. She was about to put  her information in, but I stopped her, opting to do it myself. She smiled and watched me pay for the cards, and when all was set and done, we had $10 on both cards since we wouldn't stay for very long.

"Let's go to that one first." She said as she pointed to the strength tester. "How's it work?" I asked. "You swipe, then press this button..." She paused and pressed the button for the glove to go down. "Then you punch it with all you got." She finished. "Seems easy enough." I said. I knew that my time with the gang had trained me to hit hard and fast and so did my karate training, but I didn't want to show off too much so I held back.

The sound of my punch was indescribable, but still loud. Loud enough to catch Yuqi off guard. "Only 604? Dang, I kinda fell off." I said as the score came back 604. "What do you mean only? My highest score was 450." Yuqi spoke. "Well, why don't you try again to get a higher one?" I said between bouts of laughter. "That score was yesterday. At the arcade at the mall where I met you. And boy am I glad I went there." She flirted.

"Now, let's race!" I said as I pointed to the racing game. "Do you want the right seat or the left seat?" I asked as we walked over. "I'll choose after you choose." She said with a wink. "Okay, I'll take the right one." I said as I sat down. I was expecting her to sit in the left one, but she instead sat on my lap. "So will I." She said as she swiped the card. Her flirts were so unexpected, I was practically screaming at my body to not get a boner. Especially not while she was sitting in my lap. "You ready?" I said as I chose the car, driver and map and went to the finish line. "When you are babe." She said as she put her hands on the wheel. "You drive, I'll steer." She said as the timer appeared at the top. "You got it." I said, kissing her cheek before the timer ran out.

The moment the timer hit 0, I floored it and she kept her eyes on the screen. Her idea actually seemed to work well. Despite it sounding horrible on paper, we both had good enough synergy for it to work out. "Y/n... You ready for the boost?" Yuqi said as she planned on using the boost in synergy with a speed boost on the map so the speed would stack. "Ready when you are." I said as I put my hand near the boost button. "3... 2... 1... now!" She said and before another nanosecond could pass, I smashed that button. We were already in first place, but we had been cutting it close with one of the AI, but this move had put us in the lead by a landslide.

"Nice one!" She cheered. "Aaaaaaaaandddd, BAYUM!" She yelled as we crossed the finish line. "Did we do it!" I asked, trying to play dumb. "Yeah, we won because of you boosting. You didn't see it?" "No, I was too busy looking at you." I flirted. Her face turned red as a tomato. "You like basket ball?" I asked. "Yeah, why?" She spoke. "Cuz I got an idea of what we could do next." I said, pointing to the basket ball hoops. "Okay, if I win, you have to buy me dinner." She said. "And when I win, I'll buy you dinner anyway because I like to see you happy." I spoke. "*giggle* Okay, let's go." She said trying not to laugh as we walked to the basketball hoops.

We both swiped our cards and after a moment, the barrier holding the balls came down and the balls came within my grasp. I very well could use dead eye, but that'd be cheating. But I did want to treat her for giving us those pizzas earlier. My time with the gang had refined my skills so much, something like this would've been easy. But I decided to challenge myself and keep it fair.

 "How're you making so many???" Yuqi said with raised eyebrows as I hadn't missed a shot yet. She hadn't missed either, but I guess she wasn't expecting me to be this busted. "Good aim, I guess." I spoke. We both kept going strong, even gaining enough points for the machine to go into overtime mode. The hoop started to slowly move from left to right and if we missed 3 balls, the game would end. "Can't believe you haven't missed any." Yuqi spoke. "Right back at ya. I didn't even think you'd make it to overtime." I said as I kept picking up balls. I picked up another ball and threw it, but for the first time, I missed. 

"Ooohh, getting a little slow there." Yuqi said, noticing me miss for the first time. "Alright, time to lock in." I said and started to use dead eye. Then, finally she started to miss. She actually missed 2 in a row. "Oh, getting worried?" I spoke, not making eye contact so I wouldn't miss. "Not really. After all, I'll be getting treated from my man either way." She said with a wink that distracted me and made me miss. "Dangit, you distracted me with your beauty." I said. "Not my fault, I can't help that you find me attractive." She said as we both kept going. 

We both kept going and I started to feel my dead eye slipping away. It had almost been a year since I used it so my edge had definitely dulled. But, a moment before I picked up another ball, Yuqi missed her next shot and I won. 

"Oh, thank god! That was so stressful." I said as I just threw my last ball without thinking since I had won already. "You got lucky. If I delayed that ball, I bet you would've missed the next one." She said. "Well, fortunately, you missed first. So now I, get to treat you." I said with a snicker.

"Alright, but I want to get some photos first. Let's go over to the photo booth." She said. We walked into it and closed the curtain and took four photos. One with us making peace signs above each other's heads. Another with us making a heart with each other's hands. One with me kissing her cheek. And another with her sitting on my lap while I rested my head on her shoulders.

"Alright. Are you ready to eat?" I asked as the last photo was taken. "Not yet..." She paused. She was still sitting on my lap so she turned herself around kissed me on the lips. I could taste her cherry lipstick as she kissed me. Even though this was technically our first date, I didn't mind.

She pulled away, a trail of saliva forming between our lips. "Now I'm ready to eat." She said before pecking my lips one more time and leaving the booth. 

"Do you like sushi?" I asked as we left the arcade. 

"I love sushi."

Narrator POV

"What took you so long?" A voice said. "I was with Yuqi, I told you that." Y/n spoke. "... I see that now. Took some pictures did you?" Karina said as she grabbed them from Y/n and looked at them then back at him. "You kissed her again?" She asked, a vein appearing on a fore head. "Yeah, she's my girlfriend. Why do you have such a problem with her?" Y/n spoke. 
"She's bad news and she'll break your heart." Karina said before giving him the pictures walking away to her room.
