Narrator POV

Y/n had his arms and legs tied to a chair as he was moved to another location. He also had a sack covering his head and duct tape over his mouth, in case he woke up.

Despite what the cops might've guessed from watching the video, Micah wasn't stupid. He showed a facade of being stupid, and when people underestimated him, he'd make them pay the price. The cops were expecting Micah to be at a warehouse that had disobeyed orders and wasn't locked down. And there were only two warehouses in the town that wasn't locked down and there were two vans that seemed to be going to each warehouse. The cops suspected one of them to be a decoy, and the other to be the real deal.

As the officers got into the S.W.A.T. vehicle, all geared up in S.W.A.T. armor, they pondered if it was really going to be this simple. Only a week had gone by and here they were, about to catch a world renown criminal and save a young man's life. This seemed to good to be true, too easy. But, at the end of the day, they had to follow through. Gut feelings weren't enough for them to not at least see what was up.

They had a simple, but effective strategy. One squad car goes for one van, and the other squad car goes for the other van. It was quite basic, but if it saved that kid's life, basic or complex didn't matter.

As one of the police vehicles made a right turn, they saw one of the vans they were after. They quickly sounded the sirens and stepped on the gas to catch up to it. The van driver followed suit and sped up to avoid them.

"Pull over, now!" One of the cops said through a megaphone, but his demand fell on deaf ears. On the road ahead, a few cops had set up a check point and had put spikes on the ground to pop the van's tires.

Like a mouse in a mousetrap, the van drove right over the spikes, popping all four tires and causing it to flip on it's side.

The S.W.A.T. quickly left their vehicle and rushed to the van, checking for survivors. They first went to check the back to check for the missing kid. They managed to pry the doors open with a crowbar, but saw nothing but a chair with open restraints. This was the decoy.

"Where's the kid?!" The officer yelled as he grabbed the driver and dragged him from the wreckage. "I'm sorry, I don't know anything! I got a call from this guy a few days ago! He sent me a picture of my wife at work and kid at school, he told me if I didn't take the van for a joyride, he'd mail them to me in bags! I'm sorry, I had no choice!" The man rambled.

The cop called paramedics for the man since he did have some wounds from the crash, but his attention turned to the other van. While he helped the man up, he hoped that his partners had saved the kid.

The other van was in hot pursuit. Their drive to get the van had increased tenfold when their partner said through the radio that the other van was a decoy. Which meant that they had the real deal.

The bad news was that they'd more than likely have to find a non-lethal way to stop the van. Shooting the tires or popping them with spikes could flip the van and kill the kid in the back.

"Cut him off! Block every road! Run him into a dead end!" The commanding officer said through the radio. The rest of the on duty officers listened and blocked every road that was within a one mile radius of the van. And soon enough, the van had come to a dead end, surrounded by S.W.A.T. cars.

Suddenly, a man stepped out of the van, hands behind his head and got on his knees. Nearby cops still kept their guns trained on him until they got close enough to cuff him. A couple of the cops went to the back of the van and pried it open. There was someone tied up in the back, their arms and legs restrained.

"Don't worry kid, we got here just in time." The officer said as he got in the van.

"See, that's where you're wrong, because you're at the wrong place..." The person paused. The cop took the sack off of his head, and saw Micah, the perpetrator behind the kidnapping.

"At the right time..."

Y/n POV

I awoke to the sack being ferociously grabbed off my head. It took a moment for me to adjust, but when I did, I smiled. But that smile was quickly wiped off of my face. "Hello Y/n." A familiar voice spoke from behind me.

"*sigh*Hello Kai..." I said as he emerged from the shadows. "Y'know, I used to, at least, like you." He spoke as he walked around me. "When we first met at the dojo, and you beat me, I had some respect for you. But then, I heard one of them mention Karina. You and her are close, too close to just be friends. And I didn't want you making moves on her. I tried to tell you that, but you wouldn't listen. And now look where we are." He said as he walked over to some desk and grabbed a hachet.

"It's not my fault she doesn't love you like she does me." I said with a smirk. I needed him riled up, because I knew his anger could cloud his judgement. He quickly turned around and backhanded me across the face. "She doesn't love you! SHE LOVES ME! SHE JUST DOESN'T KNOW IT YET!" He yelled.

"If she loves you..." I stopped and looked up at him. "Then why'd she sleep with me?" I asked. His face turned pale. "You lie... YOU LIE!" He yelled as he punched me where Micah shot me. "SHE WOULDN'T DO THAT TO ME!" He yelled. "Y'know how I had amnesia when I got out of the hospital?" I asked as I looked at him. He nodded in response. "How do you think it got fixed. True love's kiss? Nah, true love's sex." I said with a smirk.

He dropped the hachet and grabbed a full-blown machete off the rack. "I'm going to kill you!" He said angrily. "Not if I kill you first." I said as I finally managed to dislocate my thumbs. "You're delusional. You're zip-cuffed to that chair." He said as he held the machete.

"Correction..." I paused and held up my unrestrained hands.

"I was zip-cuffed to it."
