Not Again

When those three shots were let off, everyone turned their heads at the door and saw Y/n stumble back and fall to the ground, laying against the fridge. Micah scurried away like the rat he is while everyone rushed to check on Y/n. He had a bullet in the chest, arm, and one of them hit his head, getting stuck in his skull.

"Hey hey hey! Stay awake! HEY! You're not dying again! NOT AGAIN!" Haerin yelled as she tried to keep her brother awake.

"CALL 911!" Hyunjin yelled and Felix made a mad dash for his phone that was on the counter.

"ARGH! I... I" Y/n tried to speak, but one of the bullets had penetrated his lungs, hindering his breathing.

"Don't talk, save your energy!" Karina said as she knelt down next ho him. "Who was at the door!" Haerin asked. "Some blond guy, said he had a package to deliver!" Hyunjin said. "Mi... Mi-Mi...cah" Y/n tried to speak. "Micah?" Haerin asked. "Bell." Y/n managed to say. "Micah Bell. That's what he said." Felix said to the call operator.

"Micah Bell shot your companion? All units, get to the location of Kang Y/n. Suspected attacker: Outlaw known as Micah Bell." The operator spoke and then Felix hung up.

"She said they're sending all their units here and paramedics. Just hang in there Y/n!" Felix said as he put his phone away.

Y/n started to cough blood while they tried to apply pressure to his wounds.

Soon enough, the sound of sirens engulfed the house and red and blue lights flashed outside. In seconds, the police were scouring the area for Micah and the paramedics had loaded Y/n onto a stretcher, put him in the back of the van and drove to the hospital. Only a few of them were allowed to go with him. Hyunjin, Felix, Haerin, and Karina. They didn't have enough space in the van for everyone else. On the way, Haerin had to be calmed down multiple times. Her brother had only been back for 6 months and her she was, about to lose him again.

"It'll be okay, he'll be okay." Hyunjin said as Haerin had started to have a panic attack. Even Karina was breathing rapidly. Not necessarily a panic attack, but she was definitely freaking out.

As he was escorted to an operating room, they waited outside in the hallway. Haerin was pacing in circles, Karina was trying her best to stay calm, and Hyunjin and Felix just sat in the chairs, hoping for the best.

Suddenly, 5 familiar faces appeared at the end of the hallway. Ryujin, Chaeryong, Yeji, Yuna. And Lia. Y/n's other ex. "We heard about what happened!" Yeji said as the 5 of them rushed over. Haerin immediately went to Lia for a hug and Lia quickly returned it. While hugging Haerin, she took a glance at the window and saw Y/n's condition. She tightened her grip around Haerin as tears started to form in her eyes.

"What happened?" She asked as Haerin pulled away from the hug. "Some guy showed up under the pretense of giving Y/n a package, but when Y/n opened the door, he shot him. I don't know how, but Y/n managed to ID him." Felix explained. "What's his name? Did the cops find anything on him?" She asked. "Micah Bell. And I don't know if the squad cars sent to the house found anything." Felix said. "*sigh* He's only been back for 6 months and now..." Yeji said as she saw his condition.

The machine showing his heartbeat suddenly flatlined. Haerin collasped to her knees just at the sight. Lia stood there, tears rolling down her face as the doctors in the room got their defibrillators.

"Clear!" One of them said before placing the device on Y/n's chest and shocking him to jump start his heart. The machine still flatlined. The doctor readied the device again and shocked him again. Still nothing. This continued for a whole minute and the doctors were still unsuccessful.

"Time of death, 9:35 PM" The doctor began as he checked the time. At those words, Karina fell to her knees, tears in her eyes as Y/n had officially been declared deceased. Suddenly, the machine indicated that Y/n had breathed. "What?" The doctor said as he looked at the machine. "One more time. Clear!" The doctor said as another doctor readied the defibrillators one more time and shocked Y/n.

This time, his heartbeat was returned to normal. Karina looked up and saw that Y/n was no longer flatlining. She started to shed tears of joy as the doctors rejoiced at him somehow still being alive.

Suddenly, one of the doctors stepped out of the room and took his gloves off. "He's going to be okay." The man said. Karina released a breath she didn't even know she'd been holding at the information. Y/n was actually going to live. "He'll be out for the rest of the night, but he'll live.
We managed to get the bullets out. Luckily, they were fired from a Double Action revolver and the ammo type it uses isn't very deadly. His arm's gonna be in a sling for a while, but he should be okay in a few days, maybe a week." The doctor said. "Thank you so much, doc." Hyunjin said as he shook the man's hand. "It was my pleasure. However, I must caution you about going in there so soon though. One if the bullets did hit his head. Him being alive is a miracle, but his brain might not be unscathed. There could be mental side-effects to his injuries." The man explained before walking away.

"He's gonna be okay." Lia said as she tried to steady her breathing. Haerin looked up and saw that he was breathing again. She shed tears of joy as she smiled, knowing her brother would be okay.

"Let's head back. Doc said he'll be out for a while." Hyunjin said as he stood up and looked at his friends condition. "I don't want to leave him alone."Haerin said. "We'll come back first thing, I promise." He said as he helped her up.

"Okay... I guess."

The Next Day

Everyone was waiting outside the hospital room. Y/n was already awake, and the doctor's were just helping him get situated. After a few minutes, Y/n opened the door and stepped out. Haerin immediately went to hug her brother, but the words he spoke almost made the tears come back.

"Um... Do I know you?"
