gwen's alarm woke her up suddenly, she set up her clock yesterday, because today is adrien's birthday.
tikki flies up and yawns. "What's that for?" her kwami questions the blonde girl, who practically ran out of bed.
"today's adrien's birthday! the day you get to celebrate yourself! Don't you guys have that?" gwen tilts her head, asking the question.
tikki nods. "we do, we just haven't had one since..." It must have been a sensitive topic 'cause she looked sad.
Fortunately, her father interrupted the conversation. "gwen, you up?" tikki hid behind her long hair. "yeah, dad! i'm just getting ready and all!"
"now, all i need to do is find adrien a present and give it to him." gwen said. "what would be the perfect gift to give someone that's famous?"
"perhaps you could ask alya and marinette for help?" tikki suggested.
"you're right!" gwen grabs her bag, with tikki going in it, and glasses, then heads downstairs, where she spots a plate of food on the counter.
she quickly eats the food and drink, then leaves the house, walking towards the school building.

gwen spots alya and marinette hiding behind the staircase wall talking to each other.
"what're you two doing?" she asks her best friends, who were spooked by her appearance there.
"well marinette's trying to find the courage to give adrien her gift." alya explained to gwen.
she was genuinely surprised by marinette's gesture. "does that mean you're no longer at odds with him?"
"i guess..." marinette shook her head. "no...i don't know! it's complicated."
gwen chuckled. 'classic marinette.'
they crept a peak at the two friends. "i can't do it! i can't do it!" marinette repeated, holding the gift to her chest. both gwen and alya sighed.
"no, you don't girl. you've been stalling all morning, now's the time!" alya pushes marinette who falls on the ground, catching Nino and Adrien looking and hiding her gift behind her back awkwardly.
"i...um...wanted to give you a gift i made." she blushes in embarrassment, as marinette starts to pull out the boxed gift, chloe shoves her out of the way.
"hey adrikens, happy birthday!" she gives him a hug. "did you get the gift i sent you?" chloe bats her eyes.
