In response, the team decides to use a filmed mission to restore public trust. However, what should have been a chance for rehabilitation quickly turns into a disaster. During the mission, an attempt to fix an electrical malfunction triggers a catastrophe, plunging the world into darkness and provoking a global outcry against the bionics.
The Davenport Mansion, becomes the epicenter of public outrage. Leo and Perry face the monumental task of managing an enraged crowd, but Leo, in a moment of desperation, reveals his bionic powers in an act of defense, worsening the crisis. Adam, in an attempt to protect Leo, uses his super breath to disperse the protesters, but his actions only intensify the fear and distrust toward the bionics.
Meanwhile, internal tensions among Adam, Bree, and Chase reach a breaking point. Mutual accusations and repressed resentments threaten not only to destroy the team but also to dismantle the very hope for a better future for them and society. Donald Davenport, the mentor and adoptive father of the bionics, struggles to maintain order and unite the team, but the internal fractures seem irreparable.
