Sally walked into school the next day, her father had dropped her off so he could see what the job would be like before helping move their things into the house.
Sally wore a long sleeved dark blue dress, beanie over her blonde hair. She wore chunky shoes and some fishnets aswell.
Taking in a deep breath, Sally went to the front desk and had her note ready to hand to the woman that sat there.
"Hello, sweetie, how can I help?" She asked and Sally handed her a note, it explained who she was and that she needed a timetable. "Okay, here's you're schedule and a map of the school."
Sally nodded in thanks before walking away, her first lesson was chemistry. She hated science.
Sally quickly found the room, the teacher telling her to sit in a free seat and that's what she did and kept her head down.
People started to file in as Sally doodled in her notebook, and she froze when she felt someone sit next to her. It was a girl with brown hair.
"Hi, I'm Minnie." The girl greeted, she was very cheery and made Sally uncomfortable. Sally gave an awkward smile before turning back to her book. "Fine. I was trying to be nice freak."
Sally felt her heart stop, her first lesson hadn't even started yet and she had already found a bully.
Shit. She thought.
Looking across the room, she noticed her blonde haired neighbour sitting next to another boy who he completely ignored.
He looked back, and made eye contact with Sally who awkwardly looked away and felt her cheeks heat up.
She was done with this day already.

Later on during class change, Sally found her locker and placed her books in there and her Walkman.
She was already feeling overwhelmed and squeezed her arm tightly. She hated school, she wished she could stay home and just work from there.
"Hey, mouse." Tate spoke, making her jump. She nodded at him. "I saw you in chemistry with Minnie. Ignore her she's a bitch."
Sally gave him a smile and shut her locker, trying to figure out a way to ask him what he had next, so she passed her schedule over to him.
Tate rose an eyebrow, but understood what she was getting across, he passed it back.
"We have English together. Which is next." He informed her. "Why don't you speak?"
Sally frowned as she followed him along, she gulped. Sally bit her lip, squeezing her arm.
"Nervous." She squeaked out, knowing only Tate could hear her.
Tate looked at her with a very small smile that Sally nearly missed it. She was proud of herself for speaking to him, even if it was just one word.
"I understand. And thank you." He told her. Sally nodded as they walked into the classroom, the sitting next to one another.
Sally was suprised she had taken a liking to this boy, she didn't usually like people. But with Tate, she felt drawn to him. And she didn't know why, and she was still deciding whether she should let him draw her in or not.
"Everyone we have a new student Sally Rose. Would you like to stand up and tell us a little about yourself?" The teacher, Mr Leroy stated.
Sally awkwardly stood up, and shook her head when he asked her to tell them some things, she squeezed her arm tightly.
Sally sat down, Tate looking at her curiously as she looked down, beginning to doodle on her hand to distract herself from having everyone look at her.
"You okay?" Tate asked, Sally nodded, not looking at him.

At lunch, Sally got out her lunch, sitting outside by herself. She then heard whistling and Tate appeared, Sally felt herself smile at his presence but hid it quickly.
"So, Sally?" Tate asked, sitting next to her. She nodded. "I like it."
Tate crossed his legs, placing his own lunch on the ground, consisting of a sandwich, a chocolate bar and an orange.
"So How'd you like school so far?" He asked her. She shook her head, telling him she wasn't enjoying it. "Yeah this place is a shithole filled with bullies and assholes."
Sally smiled softly at him, turning to her sandwich and packet of crisps. She was too overwhelmed to eat.
"You gonna eat?" Tate asked, Sally shook her head. Tate frowned. "One bite?"
Sally looked to Tate and back to her food. She bit her lip, picking it up she took a small bite, chewing it slowly. Tate smiled at her.
"You really are a mouse." Tate muttered and Sally gave him a confused look which he shook off.
"What do you mean?" Sally whispered. Tate looked at her mesmerised.
"Don't worry." Tate winked, and Sally felt her heart flutter, she was extremely confused to what she was feeling.
Tate then pulled out a cigarette, Sally watching carefully as he lit it and blew smoke out his mouth. He then offered it to Sally who wasn't so sure about it. She took it carefully and coughed after inhaling the smoke and Tate chuckled.
"You didn't have to." Tate told her and she handed it back to him awkwardly, squeezing her arm in embarrassment.
"So, in a couple days you're having dinner at my house?" Sally nodded. "I guess I'll just have to try my best to hear you're voice more."Sally blushed and rolled her eyes at him. She was not excited for that dinner. Sally then wanted to say something, anything to the strange boy.
"Thank you." She mumbled in a her delicate voice.
"You're welcome mouse." Tate nodded.

Sally went up to her room as soon as she got home, and luckily her bed was set up and her boxes were set around the room.
She grabbed her stuff and headed to the bathroom, lifting her sleeves back and harming herself. It had been an impact of the new school and having the bully push her in the hall.
Sally let the blood run under the tap, splashing water on her face, she looked at herself and felt disgusted by the body she was given to live in.
She went back to her room and began to unpack her boxes. It took her about 2 hours to unpack everything as her parents had set up her furniture already.
Heading downstairs to the kitchen, Sally poured herself some orange juice and saw her mother in the dining room.
"How was school pumpkin?" Darla asked, and Sally huffed, she wasn't able to escape her mothers questions.
"It was fine." Sally muttered. "Saw the neighbours kid."
"Aww that's nice sweetheart." She replied, barely listening and Sally rolled her eyes.
"I murdered a bully." Sally stated.
"Good pumpkin." Darla said, Sally went back to her room, used to her mothers lack of attention.
Sally went to her balcony, leaning on it and she looked onto the road. She hated this shithole, and so far the only good thing about it was Tate. But she didn't want to get attached, however she was thankful she had a friend.
"Hey, mouse." Tate stated, making Sally jump.
"Hi." She muttered and it was like music to Tate's ears.
"Wanna go on a walk?" Tate asked and Sally shook her head.
"Tomorrow." She replied softly and he nodded, blowing out smoke.
"Tomorrow." He nodded.
Sally watched as he walked back to his house, she sighed, walking back into her room and playing a Nirvana album on her record player.
