Iveline walked down the hall, Grace helping her slightly as she was still feeling out of it from the sedatives. She was given a strong dose.

"They gave you alot this time, huh?" Grace asked and Iveline gave her a slow nod.

She guided Iveline to the sofa and the two sat down. Iveline felt slightly dizzy as she looked around the room, she used to hate this feeling, but over the two years she enjoyed it more and  more. Which she hated.

"Hey." Kit stated walking over, Iveline feeling herself smile.

"I'm Grace, Iveline's friend. It's nice to meet you Kit." Grace stated and Kit nodded.

"You too, Iveline told me about you." Kit nodded before looking to the girl. "Is she okay?"

"Yeah, they gave her a large dose of sedatives, she gets it about every two weeks." Grace explained.

"Hey, Kit." Iveline slurred slightly.

"Jeez, what's it like?" Kit asked and Iveline sighed.

"It's better now. I hated it at first." Iveline admitted. "But they gave me a little much. I'm dizzy."

"I'm sorry Ivy." Kit frowned, it concerned him how she felt dizzy and seemed okay with being sedated.

Grace looked to Iveline when he called her that and Iveline gave her a giggle.

"New girl today." Iveline stated, pointing towards the woman.

"She's a reporter." Grace added and Iveline nodded.

"Whys a reporter stuck in this shithole?" Kit asked.

"She's a lesbian apparently but I don't get why she's here." Iveline mumbled out that they barely understood her, but they agreed with her.

Even though it was the 60s, Iveline had never quite understood the hatred towards the gay community.

"I heard she snuck in." Grace commented as she lit a cigarette and Iveline reached for one. "Not after last time."

"Last time?" Kit asked.

"I burnt myself on accident." Iveline shrugged.

"I understand why." Kit stated with a small smile towards the girl.

Grace and Iveline had been taken to the bathroom, with new girl Lana Winters.

Sometimes they liked to trap them in warm baths. Iveline had gotten used to the heat at this point, she had been doing it for two years.

Iveline zoned out but sighed in thanks as Grace let her out of the bath before letting out Lana.

"I like the view from this window." Grace stated as she walked to it and Iveline agreed that it was a good view out there.

Iveline got out, sitting on a piece of cloth on the floor with her body covered.

She noticed Lana glance at the many scarrs she had near her wrists and the couple that spread along her arms.

"All the bare trees. Bleak and beautiful." Grace stated.

"Do either of you dream of escaping?" Lana asked and Iveline nodded.

"Everyday since I've been here." Iveline shrugged. "But there is no way out."

"New people." Grace mumbled.

"What if I said I knew a way?" Lana asked and Iveline rolled her eyes.

"You'd be full of shit." Grace replied.

"There's a tunnel." Lana stated as she got out of the bath. "It's real. I came in through it."

"Wow, they really messed with your head huh? What meds do they have you on?" Iveline asked. It was too good to be true.

"I need someone to help me pull off an escape plan." Lana stated and Iveline quickly got herself dressed.
"But nobody else can know." She looked between the two.

"We have to take Kit." Iveline spoke, he didn't deserve to be left behind.

"Absolutely not." Lana shook her head making the blonde frown. "He's a vicious murderer. They can make you believe anything."

"Ive seen a lot of killers in this place. Kit isnt one of them." Iveline disagreed.

"Iveline is right. He's not a killer." Grace agreed with her friend.

"He can't come." Lana told the both of them. "That's my line in the sand."

"You have trouble trusting people yes?" Grace asked.

"You would too if the person you loved most in the world betrayed you." Lana replied. "Threw you away forever."

"We know what that's like." Iveline admitted, and Grace nodded.

"So, how's the therapist?" Iveline asked as she smoked her cigarette for the day.

"I don't think he believes me." Kit sighed. "I think he thinks I'm manipulative. He's quiet. He's strange."

"I met Lana and me and Grace found something out. She knows a way out of this shithole." Iveline told gin excitedly.

"Really? Where?" Kit asked, leaning forwards on the table closer to her.

"She didn't say. And she won't take you, she thinks you're a killer." Iveline stated and Kit sighed in annoyance. "We're not leaving you behind. Me and Grace are gonna chat with her and you steal her notes."

"Oh yeah, I saw her writing stuff down." Kit nodded.

"Yeah, we're gonna find out the location by stealing the paper. Then we'll head out, see the sun." Iveline smiled. "What is it like outside? I haven't been out in two years and before that I was too sad to leave it much. There's some things I don't think I've ever seen."

"It sounds like a plan. I'll show you everything you've missed on the outside." Kit stated, he wasn't sure he wanted to part from her when they left, there was something about her.

"I can't wait Kit. You won't just leave me behind?" Iveline joked and Kit shook his head.

"I couldn't leave a pretty face like you behind." Kit stated making her blush slightly.

"I didn't realise you were a flirt." Iveline smiled and Kit chuckled.

"Me neither." Kit admitted. "So, when are we doing this?"

"Later today. We'll talk to her, you snatch the paper." Iveline told him and he nodded.

Atlast, they would be free. Well, that's what they thought anyways.
