Iveline hated her home. She hated her parents. She hated everything about living with them.
She knew that she couldn't live anymore. She was done with this life and knew her parents probably wouldn't give two shits.
Iveline got into her bathroom while her parents had gone to the shops. She felt scared but it felt right to her.
She got her fathers shaver and used it to slit her wrists. Her eyes closed as she whimpered in pain. Iveline lost consciousness.
Her parents arrived a few moments later, her mother running up the stairs to see if Iveline wanted some food.
She gasped at the sight of her daughter, shouting for her husband to call an ambulance as she grabbed towels to stopped the bleeding.
Once the ambulance arrived, they loaded Iveline on and worked on stopping the blood and making sure she stayed alive.
They succeeded in saving the girl and stitched her up. After a couple of hours, Iveline'd eyes fluttered and she felt her heart shatter.
"How dare you do this!" Her father yelled as he noticed she was awake, making her flinch. She looked to her mother who had a look of disappointment on her face.
"You have no clue what this will do to our family. How it'll make us look." Her mother stated.
"Why did you save me?" Iveline whispered and her father pinched his nose.
"It would look bad." Her mother stated like it was obvious.
"So, we have contacted a place called Braircliff, they will be taking care of you from now on. We'll be telling people that you've gone to college." Her father stated and she felt tears roll down her face.
"No! You have caused enough damage. You are going." Her mother snapped.
Iveline clenched her fists and knew she had no choice in the matter. She had heard of the place before and felt dread within her.

Iveline sat between her parents as she traced the scarrs over her wrist. They were meeting with the head Nun of the place. Sister Jude.
"So, you would like us to look after your daughter after attempting to end her life?" Jude asked.
"Yes, she needs the help and being around people if God may be the best way." Her father stated and she nodded.
"Okay. We will take good care of her don't you worry." Jude stated. "You can come visit whenever you like."
"Thank you sister." Her mother thanked.
Iveline watched as they got lead out by Sister Jude. She was sad that they didn't even say goodbye.
"Any questions?" Jude asked as she sat down.
"Uh, how long will I be here?" She asked.
"It will depend on your state." Jude replied. "Now, you will be showered down, given clothes and sent to the recreational room."
"Okay." Iveline nodded nervously.

Iveline sighed as she entered the common room / recreational room. She hated getting showered down it was humiliating.
Iveline listened to the crappy music playing, looking around the room. She walked to one of the sofa's and sat down.
"Annoying right?" A girl with short brown hair stated.
"Yeah." Iveline nodded shyly.
"I'm Grace." The girl stated.
"Im Iveline." Iveline introduced. "Why is the music on?"
"It helps calm some of the others." Grace explained and Iveline nodded in understanding. "As a rule it has to be kept on but you'll get used to it."
"How long have you been here for?" Iveline asked.
"A couple of months. They believe that I killed my parents. But it wasn't me." Grace admitted and Iveline nodded, she wasn't sure Grace was telling the whole truth but she felt safe.
"Okay." Iveline stated.
"Why did you get sent here?" Grace asked.
"I tried to kill myself." Iveline replied simply.
"Oh." Grace mumbled.
"Yeah, I guess there isn't anything to say to that." Iveline chuckled awkwardly.
"Yeah." Grace stated.
"So, do we just stay in here mostly?" Iveline asked and Grace shook her head.
"No, we get assigned jobs. I have the bakery and I used to have laundry." Grace explained. "They're not too bad."
"Cool." Iveline stated.
She had no clue how long she was gonna be there and she knew her parents wouldn't come back for her. So she was gonna have to get better. She wasn't very confident of that.
