It was now Friday when the worst of the storm would hit and they would try to escape.

Iveline looked silently concerned at a dishevelled Sister Jude who blew a whistle and told everyone to sit down.

They were quite a few rows with a path in the middle, four chairs on each side and Iveline sat between Grace and Kit.

"Welcome, one and all," Jude began.

"What's up with her?" Kit mumbled and Iveline shrugged as she watched Sister Jude walk towards the screen.

"To Briarcliff's inaugural movie night." Jude introduced. "Whether this evening marks the start of a beloved trend, tradition, or just another bitter disappointment is entirely up to you. Now, settle in, relax and return with me now to ancient Rome as we present the 1932 Cecil B. DeMille classic, The Sign Of The Cross. Starring Ms Claudette Colbert as the empress Poppaea, and as the emperor Nero, the incomparable Charles Laughton."

After this, Iveline stopped listening, she was slightly concerned for the older woman as she had never seen her act like this before. It was unnerving.

But she knew she had to stay focused and stick to the plan so they could leave.

Thunder crashed, making Iveline jump and take Kit's hand in hers as the other inmates jumped and yelled.

"Sorry." Iveline mumbled.

"Don't worry about it." Kit smiled to her softly, giving her hand a squeeze.

Jude then tried to quiet the others as they either got completely frightened or excited by the loud noise.

"Don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky and the bright silver song of a lark." Jude chuckled as she walked back down the aisle towards the projector. "Walk on threw the wind. Walk on through the rain."

Again, Iveline ignored Jude as she had no clue what the woman was on about. She was getting anxious to leave and doubting they could do it.

Her leg began to bounce up and down and she felt Kit's hands slip from hers, placing it on her leg to cease the anxious bouncing.

Jude began to babble about something sweet and innocent being left alone in the world. Thunder crashed again.

The lights went down and Iveline, Kit and Grace all looked to each other. Iveline felt her heart pounding in her chest, like it would escape.

The movie began and Iveline crossed her arms as Kit finished his cigarette off.

Grace got up as some ordelies tried to break up a fight, and headed to Frank to distract him.

Iveline nodded to Shelley as her and Kit got up, Kit holding her hand as they snuck past.

Iveline and Grace then fist bumped as they left the common room, they had made it past the first obstacle.
