As I walked home I was lost in my thoughts, so I completely forgot to call Megan. And I only realized that when she was calling me. I picked up quickly.
"Hello?" I said.
"What the hell, Adele?" she sounded really anxious. "Where are you? I called you like a thousand times before, why aren't you picked up? We were supposed to meet 4 hours ago!"
"Megan, I can explain. I was in hosptal, and-" I started but she cut me off.
"-What?! Oh my God, are you okay? Where are you?"
"I'm all right now. I just got home in this moment." I said calmly, as I searched for my keys in my bag. "Can you come over? Like now? I have to tell you so so much things." I sighed.
"Of course, I'm on my way now. I'll be there in 5 minutes. Take care, bye." she said and I hung up.

"No way!" said Megan wonderingly, as we were sitting on the couch in my living room. "That's insane."
"It was an accident. I couldn't believe it either though." I grinned.
"Jimmy Fallon..wow. Is he hot in real life?" asked Megan with a smirk.
"Well..." I teased her.
"Oh come on. Just admit it." she elbowed me.
"Okay okay, yes he is. He really is." I blushed a little bit.
"Oh my, you like him!" she chuckled.
"No, Megan, stop making things up. He even has a family. If I do actually like him, it would matter." I shrugged and stood up to fill my cup with another dose of coffee.

"You have to be positive, though." she started. "He invited you, he wants to talk to you. Come on, it has to mean something."
"I am positive." I sighed. "But I'm realitsic too. He has a wife and a daughter. He wouldn't date anyone, believe me."
"You never know." she shrugged.

"Can we change the subject please? I'm almost died, by the way." I sat back to the couch.
"Sorry if I was inappropriate. I just really want my bestie to be happy." she gave me a side hug.
"Your bestie is happy as she is." I smiled.
"I hope so. So how's your head?"
"Better now." I took a sip from my drink. Megan stayed at my place for a good couple of hours, then she left around midnight. We talked a lot, watched some movies and we promised each other to meet the next weekend, or so.

*Monday morning*

I got up pretty early in the morning. I took my painkillers, so my head wouldn't ache through the day. I was pretty excited about seeing Jimmy again, so I borrowed a nice shirt from Megan. I ate my breakfast -which wasn't much cause I didn't have much apetite- and I looked at my outfit for today. My favourite pair of black jeans, my good old Oxford shoes, the borrowed, long-sleeved red peplum shirt and my thin, silver necklace with matching earrings. I let down my long, light brown hair, in its usual waves, and I tucked a piece of hair behind my left ear. My makeup was simple, a thin coat of foundation, nude lipstick and mascara, except the bronze eyeshadow I wore for the day.
"You're gonna be fine." I sighed in the mirror. "You look good. Come on." I encouraged myself. I needed it.

When it was the time, I grabbed my coat and my little purse with my phone and wallet in it, and I was ready to go. I locked my apartment door and left the building. There was pretty cold outside again, so I was happy with my layered clothing. I took out my phone and texted Megan.
Adele: On my way to 30 Rock. Wish me luck.
Megan: U r gonna be fine. Break a leg. xoxo

I opened the door and walked into the building. It was just like on TV. At first, I didn't know where to go exactly, so I walked up to the lady behind the counter.
"Hi, how may I help you?" she greeted me with a smile.
"Hey, umm, where shall I go to get to the studio 6B? I may sound stupid, but I don't know where is it, or what's my seat..." I said and I felt pretty embarassed. But I wasn't lying, I really didn't know how to make my way to Jimmy.
"It's okay, what's your name?" she turned to the computer next to her, and started to type.
"Adele Rivers."
She typed it in, and a minute later she turned to me again and asked.
"Can I see your ID card, ma'am?"
"Sure." I said hesitatingly, and I pulled it out from my purse and gave it to her.
She took a look at it and gave back to me with a smile. "Thank you. I see your spot, it's in the first line, seat 3. You have to go straight in this corridor, then turn on your left, and you should see the door with the Tonigh Show sign. You couldn't miss."
"Thank you," I looked at the counter, where her name was. "Claire." I smiled at her.
"Your welcome. Have a nice day."

As I looked at the door with the big "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon" sign, I knew that's where I was supposed to be.  And I felt incredibly nervous. I started to have a slight anxiety attack, but this wasn't the time or place to panic. So I sucked myself up, and followed the entering herd of people to the studio. I searched for my seat and when I found it, I sat down. I started to calm down as the rest of the audience arrived and surrounded me. I crossed my legs and adjusted my hair quickly.

I couldn't hold back my wide smile anymore, when Higgins introduced Jimmy, and he walked out from behind the curtain.
"That's what I'm talking about right there!" he said after the big, loud applause he got from the audience. "Thank you guys, welcome to the Tonight Show, we're gonna have fun tonight. Umm, let's get through some news first..." he started his monologue with a bright smile, as always, when I saw his eyes landed on me, and I completely froze down.

***A/N***
Sorry if this was a shorter episode, it was less interesting too, just kind of a filler but I promise the next one will be full of good stuff.:)
