*Adele's POV*

I knew I had to think and act like nothing has happened. So eventually I did. If I'm going on a date, a real one, I'm gonna enjoy it.

Today was Monday, and it was 9 am. I was walking to the hotel where I work - since it was just a couple streets far from my apatment I didn't usually hail a cab.
I threw my coat on top of my more formal garment for work. I didn't really loved it with all my heart, cause sitting behind a desk, and taking men's sexist comments about my look all day wasn't horrifying on its own.

Although I did not expect soon a call or text from Jimmy, I quivered when Megan texted me. "Chill out." I commaned to myself.

"11:34 am - Megan
Friday, 8:30 pm. Meet up at my place after work, be there aound 5pm. Dress-shopping on Wednesday!!"

I sighed. "So we're really doing this, huh?"

*Wednesday afternoon*

I was assoting a bunch of extremely breathtaking yet a bit expensive dresses with Megan in the nearest H&M.

"A lady gotta look fine on a first date." I received a shitload of wisdom like this from Megan.

"We will, but we could just go in our own dresses. You know I have one, and I know you have like fifty other." I rolled my eyes at her while stroking my finger along a black, sleeveless one.

"U-umm, that's just sad." she snapped her fingers in the dress' direction.

I hung back at its original place, and put my hands up defensively. "If you say so."

"Ads, you know I love you, but clothes are my territory." she claimed matter-of-factly as she was facing a few colorful dresses and skirts.

"Whoa." I chuckled. "First of all, I must really adore you that I let you call me 'Ads'. Second of all, what's wrong with my sense of fashion?" I pointed at my outfit. I wore a black pair of boots, my usual blue jeans and a red, long-sleeved shirt. I even thought this morning how nice my look is. I raised an eyebrow at her questioningly.

"Oh nothing." she shrugged. Liar. "Just you are that 'jeans with oversized sweater' type of girl."

"There's nothing wrong with that." I muttered as I stepped next to her, browsing through some other clothes.

"Sure, but let me help you with dresses. Believe me, you won't regret. Please." she twisted a piece of her long, blonde hair with her fingers.

"My date-look is in your hands then. Don't screw me up." I elbowed her. "Anyways, why do we need to dress up in such posh clothes?"

"As I said, we'll go to a fancy, expensive restaurant, and since we wouldn't be the ones who's paying for the fancy and expensive food, we can spend that money on fancy, expensive clothes." she winked.

"You like the words 'fancy' and 'expensive', don't you?" I chuckled.

"Yup. How's work, by the way?" she asked.

"Oh, you know. I'm okay with it. It sucks sometimes to be a receptionist, but I need money to buy a date-dress." I stuck my tongue out at her. "Hey, do you have any pictures on your phone about my date? I hope your precious Bennet sent you one." I said, narrowing my eyes.

"Yeah, I almost forgot. But you'll love him." she took out her phone from her pocket. "Look at them! Bennet is on the left, so Seth is the other one." she pushed the device in my face.

I peeked at the screen, a bit afraid of what would I see there. My eyes first landed on Bennet, who was actually a hottie; of course he was, that's one of the main reasons why Megan wanted him so desperately. And then I started examining my partner; who appeared to be just as handsome as his buddy - if not more. Bennet had dark brown hair with hazel eyes, hard and mild features alternated on his face and seemed to be shaving his stubble.  Seth's face looked more characteristic with a pair of deep blue eyes, messy light brown hair and a nice five o'clock shadow. Both of them were half-naked and wore shorts, with a seashore and some swimming people in the background.
