***A/N***
I don't know what's going on with me today, but I'm full of inspiration, lol.
Hope you'll like this chapter!:)
(btw sorry for detailing a little bit the characters' looks, I just like to visualize them. I'm actually gonna put a picture up about how I imagined Adele in my story.)

I quickly adjusted my hair and my clothes, just to make sure everything's in place.
"Hey!" I opened the door nervously.
"Hey there." he smiled at me and his eyes looked me thoroughly from head to toe. He gave me a gentle hug.
"Please, come on in." I invited and he slipped inside the door next to me.

I let out a relaxed sigh and closed the door.
"So how's it going?" I turned to him.
Jimmy took off his dark blue coat and hung it up on the hanger, next to the door. He looked really good; a dark blue unbuttoned flannel shirt over a gray t-shirt, black jeans and a pair of brown shoes. And his hair looked nice.
"Going great. I'm actually excited about seeing the show, I hope you'll like it too." he smiled and slipped out of his shoes.

"Well then let's sit down here," I pointed at the couch. "and talk about some things, cause I think we should." I giggled.
"Okay." he said and followed me.

I sat down to the right side of the black couch, Jimmy sat next to me; there was a little space in between us though.
"So," he started. "You gotta tell me what was going on with the press." he asked.
"Well, be prepared." I sighed and started the story.

"And I was like," I gestured with my hand as I was almost the end of the story. "what the hell are these people thinking?! And I shut the door in their face immediately."
"Nice." he laughed obliviously on my speech.

I glanced at the clock above the living room TV.  10.12 pm.

"Is everything all right?" asked Jimmy.
"Yeah, it's just-" the doorbell cut me off. "Excuse me." I stood up, ran into my kitchen where I put my money for pizza, and jiggled back to the front door. Jimmy seemed to notice my weird, childish movements and chuckled at me.

I teared the door open, and the pizza-guy looked at me with a bored look on his face.
"Sorry for being late." he said.
"I ordered my damn pizza-" I looked at the clock again. "about an hour ago or so." I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Yeah, well it's here now. And it's not my fault, I just deliver to you." he shrugged. "7 dollars 20 cents please." he reached out his hand towards me.
I gave him the money without any tip, turned around and shut the door with my left leg.

"I cooked some real good stuff for us." I smirked.
"I see." he gave me an appreciative smile.
I put the box on the coffee table in front of the couch and sat back to my place.
"And umm, I have to say you look really great tonight." he said with a deep voice.
"I have to thank Megan later." I thought. I looked at him and gave him a promising smile.
"So do you, Mr. Fallon." I teased and punched him playfully on his arm with my elbow.
"Nah, look at my doughy body." he laughed and pointed at himself.
"I can't see it." I stuck my tongue out at him and opened the box.

When we finished the pizza - God, it was delicious - it was already 11:03 pm. No, we're not that slow, we just talked a lot while eating. About everything we came up with; and when we were out of words, I just turned on the TV and we laughed at all the ridiculous news and soap operas we found.

"And how's the family?" I asked.
"They're doing great." he said. "My daughters are so big now, especially Winnie."
I raised my eyebrows at him.
"I mean, they're not that big but I'm a proud dad." he explained and laughed at the same time.
"I get it, don't worry." I smiled.
"And how's yours? Where are your parents now?" he licked his lips.
"Oh, umm..." I muttered. I didn't know how to start. "Well, my mom is fine, she lives in New Jersey." I smiled sourly. "My dad died when I was a preschooler." I muttered.
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry I didn't know." he brushed along my arm with his left hand.
"No, it's okay, how would you knew, it's fine." I said with a little smile.
"And what about your lovelife? Boyfriend, fiancé, anything like that?" he changed the subject.
"No, not at all. I'm good right now as I am."
"Oh, now I feel like a veteran." he grinned.
"You should. You are." I agreed with him and he burried his face in his hand.

"Hey." he yelled to me from the living room. I was in the kitchen, throwing out the pizzabox and pouring some cola into two cups. "I'm gonna turn to NBC, it's almost showtime."

I headed back to him with the cups. "Okay."
I sat down and handed him one.
"Thanks." he smiled and his right hand met with mine as he reached out for the drink.
"Your welcome." I said and felt like blushing again. I looked away. "What is wrong with me, gosh..." I thought.

"And I was like..." said Jimmy in the Tonight Show, after his monologue. "How can I be such woeful. I mean really, my dog just teared her down the ground." The audience laughed. "And you can guess the rest of the story by youselves. Hosptial and stuff." he smiled.

"They loved my misery." I laughed, holding my tummy and fell on my back on the couch. "You made it even funnier than it originally was."
"I had to." he chuckled.

"And that's our story with this lady, named Adele Rivers as most of you know by the press. We never went on a date, we do met to talk about it but that's all." he winked at the camera. "So, now it's time to meet with tonight's first guest..." And the show went on.

"Ahw man." I sat up on the couch crossed-legged. "That was just awesome."
"I know." he flashed me his most winning smile.

I turned down the volume a little bit, put the remote control on the coffee table, and turned towards him.
"So what now?" I asked. "You saw my reaction, you ate my amazing dinner and talked about everything."
"Well, it's not Saturday yet but we can totally threw that PJ party." he licked his lips and smile at me.
"Of course. Except I don't know where my high school tapes are. And I have no popcorn. And it's Tuesday night." I joked.
"Dammit." he shrugged.
"Goof." I punched his arm.
"Look who's talking." he stuck his tongue out.

We fooled-around a little bit more. I looked at the clock and it said 12:13 am.
"You should go." I said with a half-serious voice. "I don't wanna send you away but it's late and your wife must be worrying."
"I think she's happy to get rid of me." he grinned.
"I don't think so." I said as I stoop of from the couch. I stretched a little bit and let out a yawn.
"Am I that interesting?" he asked and he stood up too.
"Sort of." I joked.

We headed to the front door. I waited while he picked up his coat and slipped into his shoes. I opened the door and he went out. I stayed inside and relied on the doorknob.
"It was great." I said, blinking at him. "We hadn't have much time but I enjoyed it."
"Me too." he said. "I think I'll call you again soon. We should do this again. Maybe on Saturday night? I swear I'll birng my own high-school tapes." he teased.
"Sure thing!" I chuckled. "Just call me before Saturday and we'll consult."
"I will. Good night for now." he gave me a little smile and hugged me tight.
"Night." I said.

I had to turn my head away, so it wouldn't budge with his shoulder. I smelled his coat and I deeply breathed in his scent. I don't know why but I started to miss his presence already.

He brushed my hair at the back during our embrace, then pulled away. He looked into my eyes and I stared into his. He leaned in a little bit and gave me a quick peck on the lips. It lasted only for a second but it felt much longer.

"I umm, sorry, I've missed." he explained with a really awkward giggle.
I couldn't say a word - I was in a slight shock. He backed up quickly and walked out of the building. I was still standing in the door, staring in front of myself as I heard his car's engine start.

I walked back in my apartment, shut the door behind myself and shook my head.
"It's okay, he didn't mean to. It happens all the time with people." I claimed. "But I liked it though."
