"NIKA MUHL!" I heard Azzi shout my name as she came around the corner into the living room. "What?" I say not looking up from my phone.

"What the hell did you do?" She asked obviously upset. "What are you talking about?" I said turning off my phone and setting it down next to me. "Oh um maybe violets Instagram post and I texted her "hey are you okay?" She said she didn't want to come between me and my team. And I know the only person on my team who she's interested in is you. And obviously what you did was so bad she won't even tell me." Azzi said very loudly.

"I didn't do anything. We hooked up and you know how I am. One and done. And she got a clingy." I said shrugging my shoulders. Azzi let out a deep sigh pinching her hands into a tight fist.

"She's never done that with anyone before." Azzi said trying to reason with me. "Yes I know that." I said in a mimicking tone. "OH MY GOD! You're not helping your case. You knew it was her first time having sex and you still went on and did it." Azzi said beginning to sound exasperated.

"She said she wanted to." I said shrugging my shoulders again. "Maybe because she didn't know you were gonna ghost her afterwards. You know what nika. I am done with this conversation. Obviously you're too blind to see that what you did was wrong and I will stay cordial with you when we're on the court but don't expect me to even look your way any other time." Azzi said before stomping off and out of the dorm.

Okay so maybe I was partially in the wrong. But I mean what she really expected me to stay.

I got what I wanted and that was it. I don't do relationships. It just took me a little more getting to know her before I could get what I wanted. But I mean most girls are practically ripping their clothes off as soon as I'm alone with them.

She just wanted to know me more. And I was fine with that. I like getting to know Violet. She's a sweet girl. She gives good head to. But that's all she was to me. I don't get attached. I mean yes I enjoyed the sleep overs and the late night conversation. The way she would wait for me after practice. And would always know what she wanted to eat. That's one of my biggest pet peeves when people are indecisive.

What Azzi said upset me. Azzi is one of my closest friends. She's always there for me. A helping hand and a shoulder to cry on. But Violet was her best friend first. They've been practically attached at the hip since freshman year. I've always kept my distance because she had a boyfriend. But after her and Austin ended things I thought I could be a helpful rebound. But I guess I was wrong.

Whatever I'm just gonna go to the court and shoot some hoops. That always helps clear my mind.

I quickly changed from my clothes that I had worn for my classes today into some basketball shorts and a tank top. It was a short walk to our practice facility. I went to the locker room to set my stuff down before going into the gym.

When I entered I noticed the singular mat rolled out in the middle of the gym. As I continued in keeping quiet as not to disrupt the people hard at work. I noticed it was Violet and Kaylee and avy and one other girl I didn't know the name off.

I watched as they began counting. The three girls standing close together as Violet backflipped into their hands. The quickly threw her up as she spun in the air catching her on one foot as the other leg was pulled up by her hand. I don't if I explained that correctly. It was a lot going on at once.

Once she was up there they spun her around as she came back down them catching her before she could hit the ground.

"That was so goodddd. Thanks guys I really needed this." Violet said excitement clear in her tone. I felt myself smile as I listened. "Your welcome vi. We're glad your feeling better I know with you're knee acting up and the whole thing. We're glad to help. You sure you don't need help rolling this up?" Kaylee asked her.

"Nope you guys go ahead I'll see you later." Violet said back to them. They all said their goodbyes before the three girls left and Violet began to roll up the mat. I walked out from where I was standing behind the bleachers.

"That was really cool." I said catching violets attention. She looked very excited at first but a look of disappointment washed over her face quickly. She didn't say anything back as she just turned back around finishing putting up the mat.

As she began to walk over to her stuff I followed her setting my own stuff down. "I'm getting the silent treatment?" I said with a hint of humor.

"Last time I checked you asked me. No told me to leave you the fuck alone so. I just assumed you still wanted me to do so." She said smiling a fake smile.

"Damn okay I see how it is." I said as I picked up the basketball I had set down and started to dribble away.

"Oh fuck off don't be that way." She said her words bitter. "You said you were leaving me alone." I said stepping up to the three point line and shooting missing it completely.

"Only because that's what you asked me to do. You're the one in the wrong here. Not me you fucked this up." She said pointing an antagonizing finger at me.

"I don't do relationships." I said moving to the free throw line shooting and missing again.

"You could have told me that before you took my virginity." She said bitterly as she walked closer to me.

I ignored her going in for an easy layup. I watched as the ball rimmed out.

"You can't even focus when I'm around muhl. Don't tell me you don't do relationships. Or all you wanted was a quick fuck. Because I know you want me." She said coming so close to me I could lean forward and kiss her. But our body's never touching.

Right I was about to reach my hands out to wrap around her waist she turned away. Walking over to her things and leaving the gym.

I don't even know what just happened.
