Part 35

Violet Montgomery

The next morning me and nika were woken up by the loud alarm coming from her phone. We were still cuddled up next to each other as we both sleepily said good morning. Soon enough we both got up and out of bed. Nika changed into her workout outfit, consisting of a black nike compression shirt and a pair of navy blue UConn basketball shorts.

She threw on a matching navy hoodie and pair of her basketball shoes before we left for my dorm so I could change as well. Once we got to my dorm nika quickly made herself comfortable on my bed. I picked out an outfit and went to my bathroom to change. My outfit consisting of a white lulu align tank and a matching pink shorts and define jacket. I slicked my hair back into a ponytail and braided it before I came back out of the bathroom.

I slipped on my pink Nike 270s and we left for the gym. Considering me and nika do very different sports our work out routine is very much alike. We both started on the treadmill. Nika went for longer than I did though. Once she was done we both made our way over to the weight lifting area.

It's leg day so I started with some lunges and continued on with my regular workout routine. Not ignoring the fact that nikas eyes were practically glued to me. My final activity is squats. I asked nika to spot me. She stood behind me after adding the weights that I had asked her to.

I went down and back up. Watching myself in the mirror. But more so watching nika and the way she looked at me. She watched me like she could bend me over and take me right here. Once I finished my first set I asked her to add more weight for my final set. She continued watching me her eyes glued to my body. Her teeth pulling her bottom lip into her mouth.

I was on my final rep and my legs were becoming sore and tired. I made my way down controlled and stead but I struggled as I attempted to come back up. Nika watched keeping a supporting hand on my lower back. "Come on. Last one vi." She said her voice sending chills down my spine.

I closed my eyes and used all my might to bring myself back up to a standing position. "Atta girl." Nika whispered husky against my ear. I felt nika help me taking the barbell off my shoulders and re racking it. She came up behind me holding onto my hips tightly. "You did so good." She said smiling making eye contact with me via the mirror infront of us.

I smiled at her before pushing off against her chest. Once we finished our workout we went and got coffee. Once we made our way back to nikas dorm I decided I should probably shower. She leant me a pair of sweats and a UConn basketball hoodie.

I took a quick shower not washing my hair as I didn't want to use any of nikas expensive shampoo. Once I was done I dried off and dressed in the bathroom. I wasn't worried about Azzi being suspicious of my UConn basketball apparel as I steal hers all the time.

I made my way back to nikas room and plopped down on top of her in her bed. She wrapped her arms around me and cuddled closer. "So are you really thinking of coming to Croatia with me?" Nika asked her voice sounding hopeful. "I really don't want to impose I know you don't get to see your family that often." I said sitting up so I was able to look her in the eyes.

"Violet don't be silly. My mom would love to meet you. I've told her so much about you." Nika said catching me off guard. "You told your mom about me?" I questioned tilting my head to the side slightly. "I mean yeah when we were like together kind off I guess." She said sounding nervous.

"I'll pay for your ticket. Please just come with me. You can't be all alone in Connecticut. Plus Croatia is beautiful and I'm sure you wouldn't be opposed to a free vacation?" She said trying her hardest to be convincing.

"Fine I'll come with you." I said watching as she smiled widely. "I'll book the tickets right now." She said pulling out her phone. After a few quick taps she turned her phone around to show me the plane tickets. Her grin as wide as ever.

After a few hours of cuddles and Christmas movies. It was time for nika to go to practice. I told her I would walk her to the facility as I was going to go to the library to get some more studding done anyway. It was a short walk filled with meaningless banter between the two of us.

Once we reached the facility I walked her in. Seeing Paige and Azzi and a few of the other girls were already there shooting around. Azzi made her way over to us stealing me away from nika. "Hey girl. How was your little morning workout with Miss Croatia." Azzi said tugging on my arm.

"It was good. Fun." I said thinking back to this morning and the way nika looked at me. "I love your hoodie Violet." Paige yelled from across the court. I was confused and just nodded my head. When Azzi turned me around reading something off the back off my hoodie. "Number 10 muhl. Huh where'd you get this." Azzi said spinning me back around to face her.

"I should go." I said as I quickly made my way to the door. Noticing nikas very proud smile from all the way across the court. I shook my head as I walked out.

This girl is going to be the death of me.
