Yashveer's Pov

I stood in Mandap waiting for my soon to be wife, to be honest I am not feeling anything. I just want to get married because the reason is obvious. First is ancestral heritage, second is because of promise and I have to marry one day because Udaipur needs a queen.

Well, I had my reason but I don't know why this girl Naina is marrying me, not that I care but just a useless thought. There is nothing going to change, it's just there will be one person who will share my mansion.

She can do whatever she wants and dreams, I will expect only one thing and that is keeping my dignity and respect for Rajvansh. I will take care of whatever she needs, she will be the queen of Udaipur, and daughter in law of Rajvansh. I can't give anything except that.

Being wife and husband is not even happening in dreams so she will have to accept this. I can respect her as queen nothing more than that, we cannot be husband and wife, not in this life. This is all just useless things and my purpose in life is way bigger than this, I am a demon and she can never handle my dark side, it's better we stay apart and be happy in our life.

I came out of my thoughts when I saw her standing on the entrance, there were two Lady beside her. It was kind of weird but maybe she needed them. She is veil, the lady in her forties helped her to walk. She walked down the aisle and stood near the mandap. I saw dadi sa, signing to me, giving her my hands. I rolled my eyes and averted my gaze from dadi sa.

The lady helped her to climb the stairs with this dress that was way too heavy for her. Well it's the wedding attire of the queen, it should be heavy, even I was feeling suffocated in my outfit.

She stood beside me, she was barely reaching my chest and her body was fragile. I am not noticing, it's very much obvious, if anyone will see her they will think she is malnutritioned which was truth, it was not any healthy body, she actually looked she doesn't even have a proper meal in a day well I can be wrong too but this is what was visible.

We exchanged the garland and she was not even reaching me, she stood like a statue. I was in a hurry so I bowed my head a little and she made me wear the garland.

We performed the holy rounds of fire, as of now I knew the lady was standing was her aunt but I don't know why she was being so supportive, her aura feels bitchy but who cares. She asked me to hold Naina's hands as she was wearing a heavy dress. I didn't mind and did it.

We were done with pheras, and the priest asked to put vermillion on her hairline. I performed the ritual, her face  seemed familiar but I couldn't see her face fully as my focus was on the hairline and once I was done I didn't even look again.

We stood up to take blessings, I walked forward a little faster forgetting she was tied with me as well as she stumbled on the stairs, I held her immediately as I was not far from her.

“Careful” this word escaped my mouth and she nodded a little, we might not become an ideal couple or husband and wife but I will always protect her. She is my responsibility now and Yashveer Rajvansh is known for fulfilling responsibility.

We took blessings from the elders and then Vaani opened our knots. She went towards her family to take their blessings, there was something off but it might be the sadness as they are giving their daughter.

The car ride was silent and I also didn’t notice much. I was busy handling my new problem, I had to keep up on my phone every now and then. I hope this wedding drama ends soon.
