“Yash, What happened?” Aabha asked in confusion as she saw Yashveer standing in front of her door that too at midnight. Yashveer didn't even like to talk to her but suddenly he was standing in front of her room at midnight. His eyes were red and his state was dishevelled, Abha knew something was not alright. Before she could say something, Yashveer hugged her tightly and cried on her shoulder.

“Meri Nayan ko kya ho gaya hai? Vo pehle jaisi kyu nahi hai? Use itni takleef mein nahi dekha jata hame, aap kuch karo. Use wapas theek karo, vo ajeeb ajeeb si baatein karti hai, khud ko kuch bhi bulati hai, use samajh nahi aata kya mujhe dukh hota hai uski baatein sunkar”He cried on her shoulder while she caressed his back softly, trying to calm him.

("What has happened to my Nayan? Why isn’t she like she used to be? I can’t bear to see her in so much pain. Please, do something. Bring her back to being okay. She says strange things, calls herself anything, and doesn’t understand how much her words hurt me.")

“Aap toh sab sahi kr dete ho na, aapke liye toh kuch mushkil nahi hai, meri Nayan ko bhi pehle jaisa kar do, hum jee nahi paenge uske bina”Aabha patted his back, trying to calm him. She has never seen him this vulnerable and now seeing him like this was almost unbearable.

("You make everything right, don’t you? Nothing is impossible for you. Please make my Nayan like she used to be. I won’t be able to live without her.")

“Yash, Calm down. Tell me what happened?” She made him sit on the nearest couch and he looked at her. He was concerned for Naina, but he never expected his mother would be talking normally and not yelling at him for being weak.

“She has lost her brain cells, she says anything. We need to find a way soon, she needs to see this world, this is not a wish anymore but a compulsion or she will lose herself, and i can't let it happen” Aabha nodded in agreement, she was worried but didn't show it on her face.

“We will talk tomorrow, go to her” She said in a stern tone and Yashveer regretted immediately for coming to her. He stood up and walked out without even glancing at her.

He came back to the room and settled beside Naina, he took her in his arms and laid there silently. Sleep was not even close to his eyes; all he could think about was Naina's condition.

It was morning when the sunlight peeked inside the room and fell on the couple, who was sleeping while their bodies were tangled with each other.

Yashveer opened his eyes as he was really not asleep. He looked at his wife Naina who was struggling to sleep.

Yashveer's Pov

“Get up!! How much are you going to sleep?I said it, while her eyelid fluttered open.

“Morning wifey, Slept well?” I asked, planting a kiss on her forehead, while she took her time to process things, eventually she realised her condition. Her cheek immediately turned red, she hid her face in my chest and I just chuckled at her condition.

“Now what happened dear wifey?”I teased her a little but she didn't dare to look at my face.

“I am sorry” She apologised.

“For?”

“For asking you something about which you were not ready or not sure, I didn't know what happened to me” Nothing can give me relief if last night was not the reality, I can never imagine my Nayan losing her self respect.
