Weeks passed since we first went to the Infinity pack community and it was pretty peaceful but we knew that at some point we needed to return and face Aaron to ask him some very pressing questions. We had not been completely integrated into the pack as yet and I wanted to know why. I prepared myself to go and ask. During the past couple of weeks I tried to find a different way to get to the pack houses which led me to find a short cut but it wasn't much shorter than the trip we took the first time. I had to ask Aaron about a different entrance to the neighbourhood. I should have looked around a bit more when I was there.
During those weeks, Zack and I had been texting back and forth constantly, eventually forming a solid friendship. If there were genuine people in that pack, it would have to be Zackary and Seth, those two were the nicest people that I had ever met.
I took deep breaths but then I heard a knock at my front door. It was early noon and Lily had decided that she wanted to take a nap. I went to the door and opened it but immediately regretted it when I saw who was on the other side. Aaron was stood on the other side smirking at me with Travis behind him, I groaned. Why was he here?
"How can I help you?" I asked as cordially as I could muster. I glared at Travis whose eyes were analyzing every inch of my body.
"I had expected you to come back to Infinity but you never showed up." He stated, the smirk never leaving his face. I assumed that Infinity was the name of the neighbourhood in which they lived.
"I was just thinking about that. I was trying to get myself ready to go there so I apologise." I said stepping aside, "Would you like to come in?"
"Sure." He said as he walked into my home looking at any and everything, "Well, it's really cozy..."
"Thank you."
"I'm not sure you should take that as a compliment." Travis laughed.
"I am so close to kicking you out. I only let you in here to be polite so please do not test my patience, I do not even like you." I snapped.
"Not yet, you don't, but you will." He sounded confident. I wanted to slap the arrogance out of his mouth but I controlled myself.
I let out a short laugh then went to sit on my couch. I put on cartoons and tried to ignore the prying eyes of my 'guests' for lack of a better word. Travis came to sit next to me, a little too close for comfort, I might add. Aaron chose to stand.
"Where is Lily?" Aaron asked quietly.
"She's sleeping." I replied shortly.
"I wanted to tell both of you this at the same time but I guess that you can pass the message along." He began, "The two of you need to come to Infinity tomorrow morning."
"We will be there." I whispered. I did not like Travis being so close to me but I didn't want to be rude to Aaron just because I was annoyed with Travis.
Without any good-byes, the two of them left my house and I breathed a sigh of relief. Travis was really good looking with his warm chocolate complexion, big brown eyes and curly hair but he was too forward with me and I did not like that.
It took a couple of hours for Lily to wake up so I decided to start cooking. I felt like eating fried chicken with white rice and gravy. Dinner was almost finished by the time Lily made her grand entrance.
"The queen has arrived." She announced loudly.
"Please tell me when she's in my presence because I am only seeing a peasant at the moment." I grinned wickedly.
