"My sons-" The man started but Zack cut him off.

"What are you doing here, Ryan?" Zack asked in a heated tone, his freed hand curled into a fist. He was shaking with rage.

"You do not get to call me that, I am your father." Ryan shouted but it was the wrong move. Zack took a couple of threatening step towards his father before I grabbed him to stop his advancement.

"Zackary! Hear him out please, for me." Isabelle said from the couch. I was so focused on Ryan that I did not notice her.

Zack's shaking became less noticeable and his father's eyes softened as if pleading. Throughout all of this Seth stayed quiet so I looked back at him. He seemed to be as filled with rage as his brother. If you have nothing good to say, I guessed.

"David sent me on a mission of sorts to the Golden Creek pack." My breath caught at the mention of my old pack's name; Zack squeezed my hand to comfort me. "I had to tell your mother that I cheated on her so that she would kick me out, if I had told her that I was going undercover to find out a different pack's secrets and their potential to join with us then she would have fought me on going. I did not really cheat on her, I can't. While I was there, the original Alpha family stepped down and some beta took the place of Alpha." Ryan's eyes finally landed on me which then opened in realization.

"Hi." I mumbled shyly.

"You're the old Alpha's daughter, you left about a month ago. Madison, right?" He asked kindly.

"Yes, Madison Evans, pleased to meet you." I smiled, his eyes then trailed to Zack and my hands interlocked and a trace of a smile graced his face. He had to be in his late 30s.

"And you. You're the reason why I'm back. Vance is now Alpha and he's out to find you, somehow he heard that you were here and I had to come back. David was also there with me but he came after. He told me about you, someone was probably eavesdropping on our conversation. Long story short, Vance in on his way here to take you back with him. He's bringing some of that pack with him too." Ryan finished. My heart sunk with every word. He found me.

"He would have to kill me first." I said, I was determined to never be in his grips again. I had remembered my family's numbers so I dialed Cole's.

I asked to be excused before going into Zack's bedroom, I was not going to die without hearing from my family one last time.

"Hello?" My brother answered quickly.

"Cole, it's Maddie. Vance is on his way here." I said frantically.

"I know, my friends and I left to find you and Lily as soon as we heard where you were. We are close to the town, I believe that we will need help actually getting to the pack house. If you've been hidden this long, I assume that were they reside isn't exactly that easy to locate." He chuckled lightly. Leave it to Cole to laugh during a time of crisis.

"Call me back on this number when you're actually in the town. Are you driving?" I asked.

"No, Nick is. I'll talk to you when I get there." He said before hanging up. I hoped that my parents were safe, knowing Cole, he probably convinced them to stay at home so that they wouldn't get hurt. I was thankful for that. I already put my new pack in danger, I didn't want my parents getting killed in the crossfire.

I contemplated calling my parents but figured it was best that I didn't. Hearing the sheer panic in my voice would worry them even more. The tears sprung to my eyes, I was alone so I let them fall relentlessly. My soft sobs filled the room. I needed to be strong but I also wanted to fall apart. My heart ached for myself, for once I was being selfish and thinking about myself. All the events of the past month here came crashing down along with all of the events that happened before I left the Golden Creek Pack.
