I woke up sweaty and terrified, throughout my sleep I kept feeling like someone was observing me and it made me nervous. I sniffed the air, there was an unfamiliar wolf scent in my bedroom. I got the scents of those at the cabin yesterday and this didn't smell like any of the ones I had encountered, someone that I did not meet was in here. There was a little sunlight filtering through my curtains so I got up quickly and ran to Lily's room and knocked on the door.

"What?" She mumbled, my enhanced hearing enabled me to catch what she said with little effort.

"May I come in? It's urgent!" My voice came out a lot more panicked than I wanted it to but this was an emergency so I didn't beat myself up about it.

"Of course."

I opened the door and sniffed the air, there was a wolf scent that wasn't hers in this room too. This scent wasn't the same one that I smelled in my room. Two people were in here last night and they watched us sleep.

"Would you like to tell me why you're smelling my room?" She said and right after the words left her mouth her eyes opened wide with realisation.

She looked up and me with fear in her eyes after the initial realisation left.

"Someone was in here..." She trailed off, her voice a whisper.

"Two people were in our house, a different scent was in my room. They broke into our house." I informed her.

"We aren't safe here, they could have killed us; we need to leave." She spoke very quickly and I barely understood what she was saying.

"They could have but they didn't. We are not leaving, Lily." I said sternly which earned me a glare. I knew why she was reacting this way but if they wanted to kill us they would have.

To be honest, I was getting nervous, if they could get in and out of our house without us knowing, what else could they do? They were trying to break us and scare us but I wasn't going to be chased out of my home just because a couple wolves don't like me; I've lived through worse.

I left Lily in her room to think and headed to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, my face had healed completely. My long dark brown hair with blonde highlights cascaded down my back and my light brown eyes were big but they made my face look bright. My bottom lip was a lot fuller than my top lip but imperfection is what make us unique. I got a shower then went into the kitchen where I found Lily scrubbing everything relentlessly. She looked at me and I gave her a questioning look.

"Everything smells like them." She replied and almost spat the words.

"Lily, relax, they are gone. Everything is going to be okay, all we need to do is act like what they are doing doesn't faze us." I started, "We should go shopping for more things to put in the apartment."

"You're right." She agreed then turned on her heels and started towards the door.

"Lily, aren't you going to have a shower?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Nope." She replied.

"You are disgusting." I laughed and grabbed the car keys then walked out the door.

We walked through the town and I constantly felt like I was being followed. I looked up and found about three people watching Lily and I, this town smelled strongly of wolves and it was safe to assume that some of the Infinity Pack members were tracking us. They were doing a terrible job because I knew they were surveilling me and they didn't even look away when I made eye contact with any of them. Sometimes one of them would try to approach us but stopped when I growled.

"Maddie, why are they following us?" Lily inquired.

"They don't have lives so they spend their spare time stalking two girls, that pack really is full of weird people." I responded nonchalantly.

"Stop joking about this." She barked.

"Whoa there friend, I was being completely serious, no need to get all testy."

"I cannot deal with you right now, Madison. I really need to make other friends." She sighed loudly.

"You can befriend those idiots watching us." I told her as I pointed at each of them.

"Yeah, right." She muttered sarcastically.

We continued shopping for another half hour then we went to get something to eat in one of the restaurants. We sat down and ordered our food but a few seconds after the waitress left I got really fed up so I stood and walked over to the table where the same three persons that were trailing us for the whole day decided to sit. They watched me walk to them, all three were male. I slammed my hands on the table and got the attention of everyone in the restaurant.

"If you're going to follow me all day, you should at least have the decency of making it look inconspicuous." I managed to say through gritted teeth. All three of them looked up at me and smirked.

"You're so cute when you're trying to scare someone." The dark skinned man said in a very deep ominous voice.

"Firstly, I'm cute all the time and secondly, I'm not trying to scare anyone. The three of you are annoying me." I huffed and walked away. I went back to my table and sat down. Lily stared at me like I was crazy but soon a smile spread across her face.

"You're just like your brother, Cole, he would do something like that." She laughed then thanked the waitress that had just arrived at our table. She placed our food in front of us then went over to my stalkers. The dark skinned one blew a kiss at me so I gave him a look of disgust and started eating.

Within twenty minutes we had finished eating and left the restaurant with the three goons close behind us. I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around. I walked up to the one that blew me a kiss and ask him what his name was.

"Travis." He said in his deep voice. "Why, are you interested?"

I snorted then replied, "Nope, just curious."

Lily said she had enough of people scrutinizing her every move and wanted to go home so we got into a taxi and made our way back to the apartment. We walked inside and sat down in the living room. Lily turned on the TV and put it on a cartoon.

"I went up to Travis so that I could get their scent in concentration. None of them were here last night." I sighed sadly. I was hoping that one of them would have been the culprit so that I could ask them a few questions.

"They really don't want to lose track of us." Lily said distractedly, she was so easily entertained, so was I.

The faint scent of the two wolves that were here still lingered in the house so I went outside for some fresh air. I sat down on the grass and looked into the forest. It was getting dark and the woods looked so inviting but I wasn't going to risk entering them for a couple days. I sat in silence and just thought about my home town. I wondered what my family was doing and how the members of former pack were doing. As bad as this new town was, my old town was a lot worse.

I was staring absently until I heard a twig break and my eyes darted to the direction of the sound. I saw someone in the darkness of the woods; from where I was sitting, it looked like a man. I got up and ran to him. The person turned and ran away. I stood up in the spot that the person had previously occupied; they were gone. I smelled that area and I recognised the scent, the person that was just watching me was the same person that was in my bedroom last night. I needed to find him.
