Before she could get close enough I leaned in and angled my head so my lips were in line with her cheek and licked her. The screech that emerged from her made me sigh in satisfaction.
"Kiss your not boyfriend." I laughed.
I climbed onto Zack's lap to get away from Lily. It was only after a couple seconds and a few smirks later that I realised what I had done. I looked back at him to see that he was also smirking but looking down at his lap. I quickly got off of him and apologised which was met with laughter.
"If I knew that you were going to get off I would have wrapped my arms around you." He smiled but I blushed. The heat only got worse when he winked at me.
"Maddie yo-" I cut Lily off before she could finish.
"Shut up!"
"Normally I cut you off, but a little role play is always fun." She laughed loudly. Everyone made themselves comfortable; I took my place on the couch again.
"I have a more comfortable seat for you." Zack said while patting his leg.
"Behave." I replied and punched the same spot that he was patting.
"I honestly think that you need anger management classes. You are way too violent." Zack complained.
"I had to learn to defend myself." I said a little more morbid than I intended to. I could tell that I had a faraway look on my face as my past briefly flitted through my mind before I looked at Lily. She knew what I was talking about.
Quickly, I looked over at Zack and I knew that he wanted to ask but he wasn't going to, I appreciated that. I sighed, closed my eyes and let my body slump on the couch. So problematic.
"Maddie said she was hungry so what are we going to eat?" Seth chimed in.
"Definitely not your lips, Lily was munching on those things like it was her job." I muttered. Laugher erupted from everyone except me.
"Shut up." She replied then stuck out her tongue.
"It's not my fault that you're an animal." I smirked.
"Not just any animal, the best wolf there is!" She exclaimed and got up to do what was supposed to be a dance. She was awful. I gave her a disgusted look before getting up and heading to the kitchen.
This was not my house but I felt very relaxed here. I opened the fridge and found orange juice, random snacks and leftover food. I didn't feel like eating anything heavy yet so I picked up an apple from the basket on top of the microwave. I went back into the living room while I was eating and humming one of my favourite songs.
I fell to the floor and stretched out my long legs, I absentmindedly wiggled my toes and just watched them.
"Is she mentally unstable?" I heard Seth whisper.
"I think that she just really likes apples." Zack replied.
"It's a little bit of both, honestly." Lily confirmed their suspicions.
This apple is so good. I thought as I tried to ignore them. When I had finished eating it I threw away the core then returned to the living room floor. I laid down and closed my eyes. I had no idea why I was acting so strange but I felt so at peace and I only ever felt this way when I was completely happy and that hasn't been my reality for a long time.
"Is she dead?" I heard someone scream which jolted up. I looked around to see who the voice could have possibly come from and I met eyes with Selena. Did I fall asleep?
