Ambulance sirens rupture eardrums. I blinked hundreds of times to get rid of the incredibly bright light. I hugged my body with both hands. And at this moment I realized, inside my chest cavity it was empty, empty. There is no pulling of the ribs that snap against the lungs when inhaling. My pulse was weak, in fact it was no longer there.

It's hard to say, but it's like, I'm dead.
