"Oh my god, we're going to die!" Kaminari bawled as Sero dragged him behind us on a leash of tape.
"Can someone please explain what the heck is going on!?" I asked, squeezing into the hallway with the rest of them.
Kirishima pushed the people in front of him forward so that they wouldn't trample on Mina. "Someone's infiltrated the school."
"We're going to die! It's villains, they'll kill me. God, let me get out of this alive, I swear I'll never cheat off of Bakugo's homework when he's not looking ever again!" Kaminari prayed, tears actually rolling down his face.
"Will someone shut Dunce Face the fuck up!?" Bakugo barked.
The hallway was ridiculously crowded. People pressed against us on all sides, making it impossible to take a step in any direction or lift our arms up at all. All we could do was sway forward with the horde as we inched toward the exit. I squirmed, trying to edge away from a taller guy with blue hair who was roughing his way through the mob. He grabbed the front of my uniform, shoving me roughly backward, causing me to lose my footing.
Before I could even protest, I was falling, thumping painfully against the ground. Feet stomped all around me, crushing my limbs and fingers under all manner of shoes from boots to sneakers. I tried to scream, but the sound of panicked people was deafening; adrenaline and fear were ripened in the frantic movements of all students around me. I clutched my legs to my chest, curling up into a fetal position, closing my eyes and plugging my ears in a desperate attempt to block out the roaring heart of terror.
Suddenly I was back in New York again, in my room, tucked neatly beneath my covers. An electrified pitch whistled shriekingly into my ears, shattering my eardrums. My window burst open and strange figures in black clothing began to drop into my room, surrounding me before leaping forward, their darkness gripping at my mouth and suffocating me. I could hear my screams slowly pitter out, silenced as the blackness filled my throat, making me scratch at my neck hysterically, fingers digging deep into my skin, pleas echoing in my mind as I begged for some divine power to rescue me from my torment.
"Spider-Freak!"
I ripped at my throat, tears streaming down my face. Please no, please no.
"Oi! Stop. You're hurting yourself, you idiot!"
My windpipe was burning, my nails covered in blood and bits of flesh. STOP IT! STOP IT!
"Stop." Two warm hands grasped my own, yanking them away from my neck. I gasped for breath, sucking in gulps of air, feeling my sore lungs expand in my chest. I felt someone pull me gently to my feet, hands on my arms to brace me.
I opened my eyes.
Bakugo was staring at me, his crimson eyes wide and attentive. His gazed flickered from my face to my neck, eyebrows cinched together in confusion. My breaths finally slowed, and I looked around, realizing the crowd had stopped moving and everyone had quieted down.
