It's normally a bad idea to follow a scary guy into a forest, but if it's Bakugo-

-ah, who am I kidding? Even if it's Bakugo, it's still a bad idea.

I cleared my throat. "Where are we going?"

"There's a clearing up ahead and it's a good place to train," he replied, voice neutral.

Bad sign. His voice was never neutral.

Finally we arrived at his designated spot.

"So how do you want to do this?" I asked.

"Obviously we should spar."

"With our quirks?"

He shook his head. "First without."

I nodded slowly before hesitating. "Are you sure you should be fighting in your condition? How are your arms?"

He was obviously hiding something, wearing a black long sleeve shirt in this warm weather.

"It's nothing I can't handle," he said with a shrug. "Injured or not, I can still beat your ass in a fight."

I watched him, hearing the determination of his tone. He didn't seem mad at me. Or maybe he did. I couldn't tell what he was thinking at this point. Anyway, if I kept pestering him about his wounds, he'd definitely get mad.

"Okay," I said, blowing out a breath.

The two of us backed away slightly, circling each other slowly.

"Go ahead," Bakugo said. "Throw the punch."

I met his sharp eyes.

"Do it," he glared.

My gazed traced to his covered arms.

"Tch," he frowned. "Guess I will."

And with that he lunged, classic right hook swinging for me. Only I was ready for it, ducking to the side, evading it. Bakugo threw another punch, but I blocked, holding my arms up, and just like that we were off. A rhythmic pace of combat, except Bakugo was the only one really fighting.

"Hit back, Spider-Freak," he snarled, fist aimed for my jaw.

My spider senses were tingling, steadily understanding the pattern of his blows. I was predicting every swing, blocking and avoiding, preventing him from actually landing anything.

"Don't be a fucking coward and hit back!" Bakugo's voice was angry, but his movements stayed coordinated and calm. He wasn't letting his temper affect the fight.

"I'm not going to attack back when you're still injured," I argued.

"Who says I'm still injured?" he demanded.

"You're obviously still injured," I snapped, blocking a well-aimed kick. "I know how bad it was. I was there."

"Don't fucking look down on me because of a stupid injury!" he shouted. "Do I look like some weakling who can't handle a little pain!?"
