06 | Class Rep

Myself and my friends walked back to our seat for the next class after our interval. The rest of the classes went smooth and we called it a day. 

The next day morning I got ready cheerfully wearing a red chudidhar, one of my favorite. After a long travel, I reached my college.

Meeting my friends, I had some chit chat with my friends. We are yet to get our time table , so we were just waiting for our professor to come after the assembly over the mike got over. 

Professor Adhi entered our class and we greeted him Good morning.  He first took the attendance. 

"Just because I took the attendance first, don't try to skip the class or not listen , understand?"  he said.

"Ok sir" we all said in Unison.

"Girls will surely not miss your class if at all boys missed it" one of the boys shouted from behind. Adhi Sir just smiled , a shy smile which gave him a dimple on his left cheek. 

"hmm.. Ok before we get in to the class, have you all selected your class rep?" he asked maintaining a professional Demeanor.

"not yet sir" some students replied , while some including me shaked our head indicating 'No'.

"Ok select some one by today or may be now we can select. Who is interested? Any volunteers?"

"Harriniii.." I heard few of them shout my name. Even Samyukta and Meghana at the either side of me raised both of my hands. I was surprised . But why all of a sudden me?

"ohh.. wow. Harini. looks like you already have formed your squad. Any one else willing to be one?"

I saw some girls asking another of my classmate to lift her hand  but she was so shy to do and was denying it constantly. 

"One girl and one Boy. Class Rep and Assistant Rep" said Adhi Sir.

The boys elected a guy named 'Ankit' the professional Nerd of our class. As there was not much competition it was me and Ankit are the ones standing.

"So you both ok of being a class rep?" 

"Yes Sir" we both said in Unison.

"Cool. Now let's get started with our class. Where did we stop yesterday?" Adhi sir started with his classes.

We listened attentively to the classes taking notes. An half an hour later, the bell rang. 

"Whose class is next?" he asked us.

"We don't know sir. Not yet received the time table"

"hm.. Harini or Ankit , get your time table from the department and share it with the class"

"yes sir" me and Ankit replied.

"Thank you all. See you in the next class. " 

"Thank you sir" we all said in Unison standing.

In the next minute, there was a silence. And without looking I know who it is. Mr. Arrogant entry.

We all stood up and sat down as a form of giving respect to him.  His eyes scanned the group. I know he is going to target me. So I tried to hide myself.
