After the classes were over, I met Vikram at a cafe near our college. He came in his bike.
"when did you bring your bike?" I exclaimed in surprise.
"Two days before , Dad sent it from Chennai. It came yesterday Night" he replied.
"why did not you tell me that you are joining here? Did you just lie all this time? " I asked giving a small beat on his strong elbows.
"Everything is a surprise for you"
"enna nadakam .. appppappa.. oscar award eh kudukalam pa ungaluku" I said and bet him slightly on his arms.
(What an acting so far? You deserve an oscar award )
He stood there laughing not bothered about me beating him.
"But I am happy. This is a sweet surprise for me. Thank you. But sorry for the fight earlier"
"ya.. it is silly for us to fight over a simple matter. Anyway, what I said is correct. Even Dr. Pal is on my side" he replied and we both laughed.
"Hey Harini.. we are now going for a shopping and then to Adhi's house. You are as well staying with there today"
"But.." He cut me.
"I have informed everyone in your house. And for your spare clothes tomorrow, we can buy a new one for you. You can use that. We will also buy some toys for the newborn"
"ok " I replied smilingly and spoke once with my bro and mom to inform them about me staying with Vikram.
We went to a shopping mall for the purchase . Post completing the purchase, we had only juice as snacks and went straight to look at our house. Its been 2 years since we both came to this house together.
"Chellam.. I have a doubt. Are we still going to stay separately till I complete my studies?"
"Definitely Not chellam"
"Then?"
"Find out by yourself" He said rolling his tongue inside his cheek with a cheeky smile. I quickly understood and my eyes widened. Yet wanted him to confirm by words.
"What?? are you saying for real? Is the house getting renovated for us to stay? Are we the new tenants who are going to move in after the Ganapathi pooja?"
"Yes.. but we are not tenants. We are the owners of this house" He said and attached his forehead with mine.
I hugged him with a smile. I feel so happy that we are going to stay together in same house after 2 years of our marriage. Yet the feeling that I am going to leave my parents gives me worry. I ignored that thought for now.
He separated me a little from him and cupped my cheeks. I swatted his hands gently from my cheeks and kept my hand at the back of his head. Tip toeing I kissed him on his lips with smile and full happiness.
Vikram caught hold of my waist and lifted me little up to balance our height difference. It gave easy access and we kissed passionately.
The kiss deepened, the world around me felt like invisible and it was just the two of us. Time seemed to stop, the only thing that mattered was the way our lips moved in harmony, the unspoken emotions flowing freely between us.
After a long time post our wedding night, we are sharing a proper kiss with equal participation from both of us. And I am glad that , it happened in our new house here.
We separated ourselves to catch breath with attached foreheads. We could hear the fast breath of each other with closed eyes.
"I Love you" we both said in unison and smiled.
