I came out and saw my Dad and bro standing.
"why did you dress in new clothes now?" my Dad asked me making me look at him with confusion.
"Paa. what are you.. asking?" I hesitated
"go sleep. Nothing today" he instructed me. Looking at my brother and gesturing him something, he left us both.
"what is he talking about?" I queried Vicky perplexingly.
"uh.. well.. its.. no first night for you today"
"whattttt??" I shouted heeding to what he said.
"ssss. kathadhada paakki" ( sss. don't shout)
"but why? why no first night?"
"alayadha vaathi" ( don't be so eager ) he bet me on my arms.
"dei.. I am seriously asking. You guys don't play in my life"
"ayayayyaaaya... who are you man? I am saying the truth. No first night for you"
"why?" I think they are teasing me. He spoke with serious face. May be part of 'mission Vikram'
"uhh.. Neeru heard Harini's mom talking with our mom. She is afraid da and was crying it seems. Moreover she is still in college. So her parents too thought to have this delayed for sometime"
"Hey Vicky.. if you are thinking of pranking me as part of that stupid 'Mission Vikram' group, it is useless.. I am not going to believe you"
Vicky screeched his forehead with disinterest. My dad came again.
"dei.. still why are you here? Go change your attire and sleep" he instructed me.
"paa. what is he saying? is this all real. Or you are also trying to prank me?"
"dei.. He is saying the truth. Now go sleep" he tried to move away from us . But I caught hold of him.
"apaa."
"padikara ponna kalyana pannitu.. first night nu alayadha da.. manatha vaangadha. porumaya iru."
(you married a small girl who is still in college, yet you want to have first night with her. Don't bring me shame asking about first night often. Wait for sometime)
That made me irk.
"Hey.. why is he talking like that? How am I looking like for you all? Do I like someone who would force her in to all this?" I shouted at my brother.
"pcch.. Vikram..calm down. "
"hey.. tell me this is a prank. I am getting more irritated. This is not a thing to prank about. I am really getting angry at what you all are talking about"
"Vichu.. seriously we are saying. After the nalangu it was all decided. Harini started feeling more worried. So her mom spoke with our mom and we agreed to it"
While we were talking my mom too came.
"Vichu.. go change your dress and sleep. Vicky , you too sleep in his room"
"maa. what is this ma?" I called her out.
"what ? any way you said you wanted her to be in her house till she completes her studies . Then why do you expect first night now? Go sleep and stop talking about first night shamelessly. She is terrified about all these. With the way you are pestering about first night, I don't want to have this happen now and scare the small girl even more. Let her take time"
