💌- Guys I don't understand why you want me to update on time when you never complete the targets completely.

Adrija's POV

I went to take a shower, feeling as if nothing in me was functioning properly.

Why, God?
Can't you see me happy?

Do you prefer me when I'm unhappy? Is that why you always seem to take my joy away?

After showering, I called Adved.

He picked up immediately.
I was off, and he could sense it, though I didn't mention what was wrong.

He asked
"All good?"

I replied
"Hmmm umm Adved I might be leaving for Dehradun tomorrow."

He responded
"All good suddenly?"

I said
"Yeah everything's fine. I'm just missing my family."

He offered
"Okay then, I'll drop you."

I told him Jiju would drop me instead.

He said
"I'll talk to him. Please let me come with you?"

I insisted that he shouldn't come. Just then I heard my sister's voice and ended the call.

I went downstairs.

Didi said
"Adrija, go get ready. We're going for shopping."

I refused
"I don't want to go. I need to pack because I'm leaving for Dehradun tomorrow."

Aunty concernly asked
"Why so sudden beta? Everything okay?"

I replied
"Yes Aunty everything's fine. I'm just missing Papa and I'll be leaving for London soon, so..."

Didi asked
"You said you'd stay at least 15 days in India."

I told her
"Yeah, I said that. But when I checked the tickets today, only a few were left, so I booked one for after 5 days."

I lied, there were plenty of tickets available. I just didn't want to stay here.
Being here always seems to bring me down.

She insisted
"We'll talk about this later. First, go get ready. We won't take much time."
