Adved's POV

I slowly opened my eyes. My head spun for a moment, a dull ache settling in, but I somehow managed it.

The first thing I saw was Adrija sleeping beside me.

Peaceful.
Soft.
Mine.

I gently brushed a few strands of her hair away from her face, careful not to wake her.

My fingers lingered there for a second longer than needed, as if memorising her in this quiet moment.

I leaned closer and pressed a soft peck to her lips.

Memories from last night came rushing back all at once.

We were so close...

Too close.

And then I fell asleep.

A wave of guilt washed over me.
I had built the mood, pulled her into it, and then betrayed the moment by drifting off.

I sighed inwardly.

She must be angry, I thought.

Just then, I noticed her stirring.
Before she could catch me watching her, I quickly closed my eyes, pretending to be fast asleep.

I felt her turn toward me.

I felt her presence even without opening my eyes.

Then her lips curved into a smile.
I could sense it.

And before I could think further, she leaned in and pecked my lips.

"Good morning, baby," she whispered.

My heart skipped.

Does she know I'm awake?
No... I'm pretending perfectly. How could she know?

She kissed me again-soft, unhurried-and then slipped out of bed.
I kept my eyes half-closed, watching her quietly as she picked up my T-shirt from the floor and pulled it over herself.

And damn.

She looked irresistible.

The way the fabric hugged her curves, the effortless charm on her face, the way she moved so naturally-it was all mesmerizing.
Even in the simplest moments, she had this power over me.

I lay there, pretending to sleep, but fully awake inside watching the woman I love move around the room, feeling grateful, guilty, and completely undone all at once.

-----------

I was sitting on the edge of the bed when she came out of the bathroom.

Her hair was still damp, loosely falling over her shoulders, carrying that familiar freshness
I had begun to associate with peace.
She wore something simple, yet on her, simplicity always looked dangerous in the most beautiful way.

I looked up-but my smile didn't reach my eyes.

Last night replayed in my mind again. The closeness. The moment. And then......me falling asleep like an idiot.

She noticed it instantly. She always did.

"Hey," she said softly, walking toward me.

She stopped right in front of me, close enough for me to feel her warmth.
"Why are you making that face?"
