The chapter starts with Oscar and Ozpin arriving at Eastern France on a long dirt road through the jungle. Oscar wears a dark-green shirt, blue jeans, brown gun holsters. Ozpin wears a light-red button-down shirt, tan pants, and also a gun holster. The dirt road ends and Dipper stops the van.
"Looks like they arrived at their destination." Ruby points out.
Jaune nodded. "Let's hope Blake and Cardin are alright."
"Chateau should be this way." Oscar said. "Not too far. C'mon."
"Not too far?" Ozpin asked as the two started walking down a small path between some trees and rocks. "With you I never know if that means a quarter mile or twenty. Like that time you got us lost in Peru."
Neptune raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What happened in Peru?"
Sun shrugged. "Probably a heist gone wrong."
Oscar chuckles. "Oh, you really want to bring up Peru?"
"You are not still holding that over me?" Ozpin replied.
"I was fifteen, Oz." Oscar reminded. "Shoulda known when I met ya that I'd be in prison within a year."
"You were headed that way all on your own, if you recall. Besides, I got you out, didn't I? I always get you out."
Oscar nodded. "Yeah, that's true."
The duo go through a narrow pathway and come out the open where they see a massive centuries old building made of red wood and grey stone just a short distance ahead. They've found the old chateau.
Oscar smiles. "There it is. Just like in Lawrence's notes. Gotta have more faith in me, Ozpin." They walk a little closer and come to the edge of a cliff. A long, deep chasm is in front of them. The path to the chateau continues on the other side.
The treasure hunter frowned. "'Course, I don't remember this ravine being on the map."
"Must've happened during a time period." Ren assumed.
"Ah, they must've just put that in." Ozpin said, gesturing to the ravine.
"Alright. C'mon, we'll find another way around." The duo go to the side of the ravine where there's a small yard with a statue of a person playing a flute. "Hey, is that a pan flute?"
Weiss rolled her eyes. "Yes, it's amazing. Now please stay focus."
"Aww, c'mon, Weiss. Don't be like that." Ruby says.
Oscar and Ozpin go past it where there's a higher ledge that leads into a cavern on the cliff. "This way. Watch your step." Oscar warns as he climbs up on the ledge, steps on it, leans up against it and shimmys across it.
"Watch you step, Oscar." Glynda warns.
"I don't know, kid. You sure we're in the right place?" Ozpin asked with an uncertain tone, following Oscar." This doesn't seem old enough to be a Crusader castle. Looks more like Renaissance to me."
Oscar smirks. "You haven't been reading my books again, have you, Stan?" He asked. "No, Lawrence says the original castle was built in the 11th century. The rest was added on later."
They come up on a cliff with a long, narrow tree trunk, acting as a bridge. "Ah, this looks sketchy." Oscar says as he carefully walks across. The log cracks under Oscar's weight.
"Sketchy my ass." Yang uttered.
Thankfully, Oscar make sit across and turns back to Ozpin. "C'mon. What are you waiting for? I loosened it up for ya!" He joked.
