The chapter begins in the morning, a pair of horses gallop across a rocky terrain. Jaune rides on one, Oscar rides on the other behind him. Both are armed with guns and head towards a big rock structure.
"This way to the convoy. Follow me!" The horseman leader orders.
"You got it." Oscar replies as they ride up a path into the canyon.
"Time to save Ozpin." Ruby declares.
"Careful, this pass is narrow!" Jaune warns as they go through a narrow pathway.
"Jaune, is it much farther?" Oscar asks.
"We are nearly there. The convoy will be up ahead."
"I hope so." Oscar says in concern.
The duo ride through the path and come out onto a ledge where they can see a wide space between the rock structures. Several trucks both big and small drive on the ground down below.
"There's the convoy." Weiss points out.
"Yes, but they're too far." Pyrrha says. "They'll have to catch up."
"There they are! The convoy is right below!" Jaune shouts.
"We have to hurry!" Oscar said, urgently. They continue the path along the ledge and ride into another opening in the canyon.
"This is a shortcut, just stay with me!" Jaune orders as they ride fast as the elevation of the path decreases. They come out of the rocky structure and onto the desert ground. "Quickly, now is our chance!"
"They got them on their heels." Neon says.
"They're one step closer to saving Ozpin." Flynt adds.
Oscar and Jaune ride behind the convoy and up to the two trucks on the end. Each truck had a mercenary riding in the back.
"Drake, get on the trucks! Let's take these guys out!" Jaune orders as Oscar pulls out his weapon and starts firing. His men arrive on horses and join the fight. The duo continue to ride up against the convoy and pick off the men riding the trucks as the other horsemen follow them and run the trucks themselves off the road.
"My friend's probably up at the front!" Oscar shouts.
"The front?! Jeez, this will be a long road battle!" Coco says.
As Oscar and Jaune proceed to clear the trucks, several mercenaries on motorbikes ride alongside the trucks and try to take down the horsemen. The duo fight back and get some good hits on the bikers.
"Nice shooting, Drake! Nice!" Jaune compliments, impressed.
Neo smirks, lightly. "You haven't seen anything yet."
"Look for the lead car! That's where Ozpin is!" Oscar shouts as he and the horsemen keep on chasing the convoy and neutralizing the trucks one by one.
"Think I got this horse thing down." He mutters, smiling.
"Amber giggled. "Well, don't get too cocky now."
After getting rid of several trucks, Oscar and Jaune approach one with a guy armed with a rocket launcher in the back. He fires and they dodge. A short distance up ahead are two trucks with mounted machine guns that open fire.
Jaune distracts the rocket guy as Oscar rides up to the truck and jumps to it from his horse. He pushes the guy off and takes the launcher. Then he turns to the machine gun trucks and shoots at one of them. It gets hit and blows up.
