The chapter starts off at Yemen of the Arabic Peninsula, Oscar and Ozpin exits a plane on the runway of an airport near the old city that supposedly held the location to Ubar. As they walk down the boarding steps with their bags, they spot someone walking towards them. Ruby Rose, wearing a navy blue button-down shirt and teal jeans stands before them smiling.
"Ruby!" Summer squealed with joy. "She's here again!"
"Wait, she's gonna help Oscar and Ozpin for the rest of the chapter?" Tai questions, concerned for his daughters safety. "Isn't there someone else?"
Lucy shook her head. "I'm afraid not."
"Well, let's just hope she doesn't almost get killed again." Qrow says, frowning.
Ozpin smiles, being the first one to greet. "Ruby Rose, Foreign Correspondent."
The reporter laughs. "Hey, Oz." She greets back.
"How ya doin', sweetheart?" He goes for a hug, but she backs up.
"Ruby, what gives?" Yang asked, confused by she ignored a hug.
"Uh, no, sorry, that's sorta frowned upon here." Ruby explains.
"Oh, right." Ozpin replies.
"What does that mean??" Weiss asks, puzzled.
"In Yemen, it isn't custom for men and women to hold hands or kiss." Andy explained. "Only for men."
"Oh, well it's their home so I can't complain." Ruby said in disappointment.
"You two can hold hands though." Ruby motions Oscar and Ozpin, jokingly. The two laughed at her comment.
"How are you, Ruby?" Oscar asks.
"Good, thanks."
"You, uh, you look great." He compliments her and she smiles. She takes out two cards and hands one to each of them.
"So, against my better judgment... These permits will get you through most checkpoints."
"Most?" Oobleck repeated, disappointed. "But I wanted to see them all."
"Oh, and I shouldn't be worried about what's in those bags, right?" Ruby questions, pointing at the bags their carrying.
"'Course not." Ozpin replies.
"No." Oscar responds.
"Yeah. Not yet, anyway."
"Well, whatever they go, troubles always follows." Nora giggles.
The trio start walking towards the airport building, Oscar holding Ozpin's hand. Ozpin sighs, pulling his hand back.
Most of the students couldn't help but laugh at their behavior.
As the trio approach the door to the building, Ruby turns to them. "Alright, remember, you're journalists now. So try and act respectable." She tells them with a firm tone.
"Think you can handle that?" Oscar asks Ozpin.
"I think she's talking to you." He replies, chuckling.
"Well, you're both are equally troubled, yet Oscar is more on the destructive side." Pyrrha chuckles.
The trio enter the building and a short while later, come out the front entrance where their rental car is. "So what exactly are you two reprobates up to?" Ruby questions the duo, leading them to the jeep.
