Alina Windsor

I didn't expect to cry again. Yet here I was teary eyed standing still in front of him. For years I tried to remember that guy. Figure out who he was out of curiosity.

I met Aiden again around Thanksgiving, then we began dating. But I thought about him, the vampire. I didn't see Maggie again after that night as I didn't have her contact and failed to ask her about him after he left.

"You're Maggie Holmes cousin," the only words to come out from my mouth.

"Margaret," he corrects. "You remembered."

"My blind crush from Halloween. Yeah, of course I remembered I mean..." I pause unsure on what to say. What did all of this mean, how long has he been watching me. Waiting for me or trying to find me. "You stole my first kiss virginity."

"And you're actual one," he notes.

"Did you know I was Matt's sister?" He shook his head insistently. "You've lived a hundred lives looking for me," I whispered to myself in realization. It was all clicking, his words, what they all meant.

"You were talking about Halloween... you've known since then that-" my hand clutches my mouth. I had too many questions burdening my mind and I didn't know how to hold it together.

"I knew who my wife was the second I met you. I make no mistakes or missteps. You were always going to be mine Alina, you belong to me." He insists, as my mind begins to spiral.

"You stalked me?" I ask.

"Kept tabs loosely, I always knew I'd find you again. I didn't know too much information on you. Just that you were mine, and nobody else would come into conflict. You even made sure of that yourself." He's referring to graduation.

The failed proposal. My second guessing and it not feeling right. I didn't love him and refused to be in some loveless marriage.

"Aiden was your employee, Matt's friend." It made sense, he kept him close just enough to destroy him if needed.

"My enemy," he mutters. "I saw you with him once years ago. You didn't recognize me but I saw you in Boston. You just seemed so unhappy in some type of fight with him at lunch. I knew you'd figure it out Bellissima," his fingers move to my waist as his eyes peered into mine.

"In every universe," he whispers.

"Rapunzel ends up with the vampire?" I ask.

"Alina belongs to Kingston," he replies.

My stomach squeezes itself in emotion. I don't know if the butterflies are a form of nausea or excitement somewhere triggered in my mind. Maybe I was losing my mind, but there was no normal left in it.

He always knew who I was even though I hadn't to even know him. I wandered back in thought to that night once in a while. I hadn't since I'd been with Kingston and maybe it's because it was him.

"What do you mean I belong to you?" I was my own person, nobody could take that from me. My freedom, whether it be autonomy or speech or thinking. I would always be free to think and have a mind of my own.

"Here's the thing Princess, you and that tight little pussy if yours is mine. I've owned every little inch of you since saying I do." He begins, "but your thoughts and heart are free to yourself. Though it's inevitable."
