Alina Romano
"You opened the door yourself this time, I'm surprised. Usually Antony or some maid opens the door, but I get my own son," His mother lectures him slightly amused.
I feel frozen in the kitchen as I listen. Holding my breath in some type of way. Margaret and Enzo look like they are about to laugh at me. But I wasn't here to laugh anymore, instead, I felt terrified on the inside. He loved his mother, she could hate me.
"Antony was about to I assure you. Margaret and Enzo just surprised me in the kitchen," He groans slightly. I hear the lasting irritation in his voice causing the two of them to laugh.
"So where is she?" Her words come straight out with it. Curious to know why I probably didn't answer the door, maybe she was set in old ways. "Probably hiding," she chuckles, "I've known Rosie her whole life. She can't even get the door."
Now everyone was silent and I felt my heart freeze. Because this was already going terrible, she was expecting someone else. She was expecting a childhood friend, probably a marriage of prestige or advantage.
Oh god, this was a mess.
"Rosie Simmons?" He questioned confused. He had dismissed in the media about the loon. But now he probably had to share who I- in fact, was.
"Your friend from childhood? You did marry her did you not?" Her voice was blunt lacked any emotion. As if she didn't want to play some guessing game.
When I slowly peaked through to see her. I was shocked, he was the spitting image of her. She was undoubtedly beautiful, her eyes differed from his siren ones. They were bright blue instead. Her raven hair had gray strands in it and she stood in a modest brown dress. Everyone had gone formal besides me.
So this would be an obliterating first impression. I was already screwing it up by not being who she thought.
"No... I did not. That was all fake news that she spread in the tabloids. Remember Alina Windsor... how I told you-" her eyes met mine so fast and my cover was blown.
"Alina," the words leave her mouth in such a soothing tone. She sounds relieved and somehow she knows who I am, "Darling please... show yourself." Awkwardly I poke out from the hallway causing Kingston to laugh.
Her eyes examine me as I move towards her. But one this was prevalent and scaring me, she was smiling. I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating, but she was smiling at me.
"God she's more beautiful in person," she looks to him and then back to me. "How could you not tell your own Mama that you married Alina." She soothes again, this time Kingston seemed embarrassed.
"He mourned you for years my dear. I'm glad you've come to your senses my darling, nobody is quite better than him... well, maybe Harry styles." Kingston chokes on the air immediately shaking his head.
"Mamma, non di nuovo," he grumbles.
"Your mother has great taste Kingston. Something you should learn from her," I add causing her to laugh. Without a proper introduction her arms wrap around me
"Oh god I already don't like this," he sighs staring at the two of us. But secretly I could see him trying to hide his smile.
"Oh Alina, I've been dying to meet you. Kingstons spoke of you for so long but always stayed away! Now he's stolen your heart and forgot to invite his family to the nuptials," she glared at him firing out the words.
