The Camp Nou stadium, usually a vibrant cauldron of cheers and chants, was eerily silent.  The floodlights, normally illuminating the pitch for a thrilling spectacle of football, now cast a soft, almost melancholic glow on the empty stands.  Pedri stood in the center circle, his heart pounding a frantic rhythm against his ribs.  He'd been planning this moment for weeks, meticulously crafting every detail, hoping to capture the essence of their love story.

He glanced at his phone, a nervous habit he'd developed since their relationship began.  The time was 8:00 PM, precisely when he'd asked Gavi to meet him.  He'd told him it was a team dinner, a casual get-together to celebrate their recent victory against Real Madrid.  But Pedri had a different kind of celebration in mind.

He imagined Gavi's reaction, the way his eyes would widen, the way his lips would part in surprise.  He envisioned the tears, not of sadness, but of joy, of overwhelming happiness.  He wanted to see Gavi's face light up, to witness the raw, unfiltered emotion that only he could evoke.

He ran a hand through his hair, smoothing down the unruly strands that had a mind of their own.  He'd even gone so far as to ask his stylist for a special haircut, a subtle nod to the occasion.  It wasn't just about the aesthetics, though.  He wanted to look his best for Gavi, to show him how much he meant to him, how much he loved him.

The stadium door creaked open, and a figure emerged from the shadows.  Gavi.  He was wearing a casual, comfortable outfit, a simple t-shirt and jeans, his hair tousled in a way that made Pedri's heart melt.  He looked around, his eyes scanning the empty stands, a hint of confusion on his face.

"Pedri?" he called out, his voice echoing in the vast expanse of the stadium.  "Where is everyone?  I thought we were having dinner here."

Pedri smiled, his heart swelling with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness.  "Just a little surprise, Gavi," he said, his voice a soft murmur.  "Come on, let's sit down."

He led Gavi to the edge of the pitch, where a small table had been set up with two chairs.  A single candle flickered in the center, casting dancing shadows on the surrounding walls.  A bottle of champagne chilled in an ice bucket, and two glasses sat beside it, waiting to be filled.

"This is... nice," Gavi said, his eyes widening in surprise.  "I've never seen the stadium like this before.  It's... beautiful."

Pedri nodded, his heart overflowing with love for the man standing before him.  "It's beautiful because it's where we share our dreams, Gavi," he said, his voice trembling slightly.  "It's where we've grown, where we've learned, where we've become who we are today."

He pulled out a chair for Gavi, his hands shaking slightly.  As Gavi sat down, Pedri took the seat opposite him, his gaze fixed on Gavi's face, memorizing every detail, every freckle, every curve of his lips.

"Gavi," Pedri began, his voice soft but steady.  "We've been through so much together, haven't we?  From our first awkward meeting in the locker room, to the countless training sessions, to the thrilling victories we've shared on this very pitch, you've been my rock, my inspiration, my everything."

He paused, taking a deep breath, his eyes locking onto Gavi's.  "Remember that first time we met?  I was so nervous, I almost tripped over my own feet.  But you, you were so calm, so confident, so... you."

Gavi chuckled, a warm, genuine sound that filled the stadium with a sense of intimacy.  "I remember you were wearing those ridiculous oversized headphones, trying to block out the noise.  You looked like a lost puppy."

Pedri laughed, shaking his head.  "I was a mess, I know.  But you saw something in me, something that made you want to get to know me better.  And I'm so grateful for that."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box, his hand shaking slightly.  He'd chosen the ring himself, a simple band of platinum with a single, brilliant diamond.  It was perfect, just like their love.

"Gavi," Pedri continued, his voice trembling with emotion.  "I can't imagine my life without you.  You're my best friend, my soulmate, my love.  You make me laugh, you make me think, you make me want to be a better person.  You're my everything, Gavi.  And I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

He opened the box, revealing the glistening diamond, a symbol of their love, their commitment, their future.  "Gavi, will you marry me?"

The world seemed to stop.  Gavi's eyes widened in disbelief, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.  He couldn't believe it.  Pedri, his Pedri, was asking him to spend the rest of their lives together.

A single tear rolled down Gavi's cheek, a tear of pure joy.  He reached for Pedri's hand, his fingers intertwining with his, a silent promise of forever.  He nodded, his voice choked with emotion.  "Yes, Pedri.  Yes, a thousand times yes!"

Pedri beamed, relief washing over him like a tidal wave.  He slipped the ring onto Gavi's finger, the diamond catching the light from the single candle, casting a shimmering halo around his hand.  It was perfect, just like their love.

They embraced, their bodies pressed together, their hearts beating in unison.  It was a moment of pure magic, a testament to the enduring power of love, friendship, and the unwavering support they shared.

"I love you, Pedri," Gavi whispered, his voice thick with emotion.  "More than words can say."

"I love you too, Gavi," Pedri replied, his voice trembling with happiness.  "More than anything in the world."

They sat there for a while, holding each other, lost in the moment, the silence filled with unspoken words, promises whispered on the wind.  The stadium, once a symbol of their shared passion for football, now felt like a sanctuary, a private haven where their love could flourish.

As they sat there, a wave of memories washed over them.  They recalled their first meeting, a chance encounter in the locker room, a shy smile, a stolen glance.  They remembered their first training session together, the way they'd laughed and encouraged each other, their camaraderie blossoming into something deeper, something more profound.

They remembered the countless hours they'd spent together, on and off the field, their bond growing stronger with each passing day.  They remembered the victories they'd shared, the way they'd celebrated together, their joy amplified by the presence of the other.

They remembered the challenges they'd faced, the setbacks they'd overcome, the way they'd supported each other through thick and thin.  Their love had weathered every storm, emerged stronger, more resilient, more profound.

And now, as they sat there, bathed in the soft glow of the stadium lights, they knew that their journey was far from over.  It was just beginning, a new chapter filled with promises, dreams, and a lifetime of happiness.
