The silence in Gavi's room was a suffocating blanket, heavy with the weight of unanswered messages, unreturned calls, and a connection that felt severed, a thread left dangling precariously. He stared at his phone, the screen reflecting the dim light of the bedside lamp, his own reflection a distorted image of his despair. His eyes, usually bright and full of life, were dull with unshed tears, his face pale and drawn.

His fingers, clumsy and trembling, typed out message after message, each one a desperate plea for a response, for a sign of life, for a reassurance that he wasn't being ignored, that he wasn't alone. He poured his heart out, his words a torrent of emotion, of regret, of longing, of fear. He confessed his mistakes, apologized for his silence, pleaded for a chance to explain, to make things right.
______
pablogavi
-Pedri, please...
______
he typed, his fingers hovering over the send button, his heart pounding in his chest.
______
pablogavi
-Just tell me you're okay. I'm so scared.
______
He hit send, the message disappearing into the digital void, leaving him with a hollow feeling in his stomach. He waited, his heart pounding in his chest, each second stretching into an eternity. But the silence remained, a heavy weight pressing down on him, suffocating him. The silence was a confirmation, a cruel echo of his worst fears. He was being ignored, rejected. The pain, sharp and piercing, twisted in his gut, a physical manifestation of the emotional turmoil raging within him.

He had never felt this vulnerable, this exposed. He had never felt so desperate for a connection, for a sign that he was loved, that he was wanted. He had always been confident, self-assured, but now, facing Pedri's silence, he felt small, insignificant, like a child lost in a vast, unforgiving world.
______
pablogavi
-I messed up.
______
he typed, his fingers moving automatically, driven by a desperate need to express his feelings, to make Pedri understand, to make him see that he was hurting too.
______
pablogavi
-I was so stupid, so scared. I didn't mean to push you away. Please, Pedri, just talk to me.
______
He hit send again, the message joining the others in the digital abyss, a silent testament to his despair. He waited, his heart pounding in his chest, but the silence remained, a suffocating presence that threatened to drown him. He felt a wave of despair wash over him, leaving him gasping for breath, his body wracked with sobs. He buried his face in his pillow, the soft fabric offering no solace, no escape from the pain that was tearing him apart. He was shaking, his body convulsing with each sob, his heart a heavy, aching weight in his chest. He felt like he was drowning in his own sorrow, the silence around him amplifying the sound of his own despair.

"Gavi?"

The voice, soft and concerned, cut through the silence, pulling him back from the abyss of his despair. He lifted his head, his eyes blurry with tears, his face streaked with mascara. He saw Fermin standing in the doorway, his expression a mixture of concern and worry. He looked at Gavi, his heart sinking at the sight of his friend's broken state. He didn't need words to understand the pain that was radiating from Gavi, the raw, exposed vulnerability that made his own heart ache.

"Gavi, what's wrong?" Fermin asked, his voice gentle, his eyes filled with concern. He stepped closer, his hand reaching out to touch Gavi's shoulder.

Gavi didn't answer, he just shook his head, burying his face back in the pillow, his sobs muffled by the fabric. Fermin sat on the edge of the bed, his hand resting on Gavi's back, a silent gesture of comfort and support.

"It's okay, Gavi," Fermin whispered, his voice soothing. "Let it out. I'm here."

Gavi clung to Fermin, finding solace in his embrace, in the silent understanding that passed between them. He knew he couldn't force Pedri to respond, couldn't force him to care. But he also knew that he wasn't alone in this. He had Fermin, his friend, his confidante, his rock. And with Fermin by his side, he knew he could face anything, even the pain of a broken heart.

"I don't know what to do," Gavi whispered, his voice choked with tears. "I messed up. I pushed him away, and now I don't know if I can fix it."

Fermin held him tighter, his hand stroking Gavi's back in a rhythmic motion. "You'll find a way," he said, his voice firm and reassuring. "You just need to give yourself time. And you need to talk to him. Tell him how you feel. He needs to know."

Gavi nodded, but his eyes remained filled with tears. He knew Fermin was right. He had to talk to Pedri, had to make him understand, had to show him how much he loved him. But the fear, the doubt, the fear of rejection, all those feelings were swirling inside him, making it difficult to see a path forward.

"I'm scared," Gavi admitted, his voice trembling. "What if he doesn't want to hear it? What if he's already moved on?"

Fermin sighed, his heart aching for his friend. He knew Gavi's fears were valid, but he also knew that Pedri loved him. He had seen it in the way Pedri looked at Gavi, in the way he smiled at him, in the way he held him close. He knew that Pedri wouldn't just walk away, not without a fight.

"He loves you, Gavi," Fermin said, his voice firm, his eyes unwavering. "He may be angry, hurt, confused, but he loves you. You just need to give him time to process everything, to understand. And you need to be patient. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it. I promise."

Gavi looked up at Fermin, his eyes filled with hope, with a glimmer of trust. He knew Fermin was right. He had to talk to Pedri, had to make him understand, had to show him how much he loved him. And he knew that with Fermin by his side, he could face anything, even the pain of a broken heart.

He knew he had messed up, that he had hurt Pedri, that he had pushed him away. He knew he had to find a way to make things right, to show Pedri how much he cared, how much he loved him. But for now, he just needed to be held, to be comforted, to feel the warmth of Fermin's embrace, a reminder that he wasn't alone in his pain, that he was loved, that he was worthy of love.

But deep down, Gavi knew that Fermin was wrong. He didn't love Pedri. He had never loved him. He had been drawn to Pedri's charm, his kindness, his talent. He had admired him, respected him, even envied him. But he had never felt the kind of love that Fermin was talking about.

He knew that he had to be honest with himself, with Pedri, with everyone. He had to stop pretending, stop playing a role that he wasn't meant to play. He had to be true to himself, even if it meant hurting Pedri, even if it meant losing him.

He knew it wouldn't be easy. But he also knew that it was the only way to find peace, to find happiness, to find himself.

*btw, gavi loves pedri just as a friend*
