The training session had ended, the air thick with the scent of sweat and exertion. Gavi, usually buzzing with energy and ready for a round of playful banter with his teammates, felt strangely subdued. The weight of his unspoken feelings, the simmering attraction that had taken root within him, pressed down on his chest, making it hard to breathe.

He needed to talk to Pedri, to be alone with him, to understand this new, unfamiliar territory his heart had stumbled into. He needed to see Pedri's eyes, to hear his voice, to gauge his reaction. It was a risky move, a gamble, but the urge to spend more time with Pedri was overwhelming.

He found Pedri by the water fountain, his face illuminated by the setting sun, a gentle smile playing on his lips. He was talking to another teammate, his voice soft and melodic, his laughter like a gentle breeze. Gavi felt a pang of jealousy, a fleeting sense of possessiveness he couldn't explain. He watched as Pedri's eyes crinkled at the corners when he laughed, the way his hair fell over his forehead, the way his hand gestured with a quiet grace.

Gavi took a deep breath, gathering his courage. He had to do this. He had to break through the wall of his own uncertainty and see where this path led.

"Pedri," he called out, his voice a little louder than usual.

Pedri turned, his smile widening as he saw Gavi. "Hey, Gavi," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "What's up?"

Gavi hesitated, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt a blush creep up his neck, making his skin feel hot. "I was thinking..." he began, his voice faltering slightly.

Pedri raised an eyebrow, his expression curious. "Thinking what?"

"There's this place I like," Gavi said, his voice gaining confidence. "A cliff overlooking the city. It's got a great view, especially at night. You can see all the lights of Barcelona."

He could feel Pedri's gaze on him, a silent question hanging in the air. Gavi took a step closer, his hand instinctively reaching out to brush against Pedri's arm. He felt a jolt of electricity run through him, a spark that ignited a fire within him.

"It's a bit of a hike, though," he added, trying to sound casual, his voice betraying a tremor of nervousness. "But the view is worth it. It's really peaceful, you know? Just the city lights and the sound of the waves."

He could feel Pedri's eyes on him, a silent question hanging in the air. Gavi took a step closer, his hand instinctively reaching out to brush against Pedri's arm. He felt a jolt of electricity run through him, a spark that ignited a fire within him.

"Want to come?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper. "It's a great view."

He held his breath, his eyes fixed on Pedri's face, waiting for his response. The air crackled with anticipation, a mixture of excitement and uncertainty. Gavi felt a knot of tension in his stomach, a mixture of hope and fear. He had taken a leap of faith, a step into the unknown. Now, all he could do was wait.

The silence stretched, a silent dialogue playing out between them. Gavi's heart hammered in his chest, each beat echoing in the quiet space. He felt a strange mix of emotions, a cocktail of hope, fear, and a strange kind of anticipation. He wanted to say more, to explain the feeling that had been swirling within him, the way his heart skipped a beat every time Pedri smiled, the way he found himself drawn to Pedri's quiet intensity, his gentle smile, the way he lit up when he was on the field. But the words wouldn't come.

Finally, Pedri spoke, his voice a soothing melody that calmed the storm within Gavi. "Sure," he said, a slight smile playing on his lips. "I'd like that."

A wave of relief washed over Gavi, followed by a surge of joy. He felt a warmth spread through his chest, a feeling of lightness that he hadn't experienced in a long time.

"Great," Gavi said, his voice filled with a newfound confidence. "I'll pick you up in an hour. We can grab some food on the way."

He turned to leave, his steps lighter than they had been in days. He couldn't help but glance back at Pedri, his heart overflowing with a mix of emotions. The walk to the cliff was just the beginning. He had no idea what the future held, but he knew one thing for sure: he was ready to face it, hand in hand with Pedri.
