The steam from the hot showers swirled around Gavi, blurring the edges of the locker room. He was alone, finally able to catch his breath after the intense training session. He was about to head out when a hand clamped down on his shoulder, sending a shiver down his spine. He turned to see Lewandowski, his face shadowed by the steam, his eyes burning with an intensity that sent a chill through Gavi.
"Gavi," Robert said, his voice low and dangerous. "We need to talk."
Gavi swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. He knew this was coming. Ever since the rumors of his supposed "relationship" with Pedri started swirling, Lewandowski had been watching him, a hawk circling its prey.
"About what?" Gavi asked, trying to keep his voice steady.
Robert's lips curled into a smirk. "About you and Pedri."
Gavi's stomach dropped. He'd been trying to avoid this confrontation, but he knew it was inevitable. He had no feelings for Pedri, just a growing sense of unease at the way Lewandowski was fixated on him.
"There's nothing to talk about," Gavi said, trying to sound confident. "We're just friends."
"Friends, are we?" Robert scoffed, his grip tightening on Gavi's shoulder. "You spend more time with him than anyone else on the team. You share secrets, you laugh, you... you even sleep in the same bed."
Gavi winced at the last part. He hadn't intended for things to get so far with Pedri, but the young midfielder had a way of drawing him in, making him feel safe and comfortable.
"It's not like that," Gavi insisted. "It's just... it's complicated."
"Complicated," Robert echoed, his eyes narrowed. "I'll make it simple for you. You're mine, Gavi. You belong to me."
Gavi recoiled, his heart pounding in his chest. "What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about the fact that you're going to be with me," Robert said, his voice cold and menacing. "You're going to sleep with me, you're going to date me, you're going to be my boyfriend."
"No," Gavi said, his voice barely a whisper. "I don't want that. I don't want to be with you."
Robert's grip tightened, his eyes flashing with anger. "Don't test me, Gavi," he growled. "You know I can make things very unpleasant for you."
Gavi's mind raced. He knew Robert was powerful, both on and off the field. He could easily ruin Gavi's career, his reputation, his life. But the thought of submitting to Robert, of being with him, filled him with a deep, visceral revulsion.
"I'm not afraid of you," Gavi said, his voice gaining strength. "I won't be with you. I don't love you, and I never will."
Robert's face contorted with rage. "You think you can just say no to me?" he hissed. "You think you can walk away from this?"
Gavi's heart hammered in his chest. He had no idea what Robert was capable of, but he knew he had to stand his ground.
"I'm not afraid of you," Gavi repeated, his voice unwavering. "I'm not going to be with you."
Robert's eyes narrowed. "Fine," he said, his voice dripping with venom. "If you won't be with me, then no one will be with you. I'll make sure no one ever looks at you again. And I'll make sure Pedri pays for this."
A cold dread washed over Gavi. He knew Robert was capable of anything. He had seen the dark side of the man's personality, the ruthless ambition that drove him. And now, he was threatening Pedri.
"Don't you dare touch him," Gavi said, his voice trembling with fear. "He's not involved in this."
Robert chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound. "Oh, he's involved alright," he said, his eyes glinting with malice. "He's the reason you're so stubborn, the reason you think you can defy me. And he's going to pay for it."
Gavi felt a wave of nausea rise in his throat. He knew he had to get out of there, to get Pedri to safety. But Robert was blocking his exit, his eyes burning into him.
"You're making a big mistake," Gavi said, his voice barely a whisper. "You're going to regret this."
Robert laughed, a cruel, mocking sound. "I've made plenty of mistakes in my life, Gavi," he said. "But this one, this one is going to be the most satisfying."
Gavi knew he had to act fast. He had to get out of there, to get Pedri away from Robert. But he was trapped, his every move watched by the predator in front of him.
"Just leave me alone," Gavi pleaded, his voice cracking. "Please, just let me go."
Robert's face softened slightly, his eyes filled with a strange mix of anger and desire. "I can't do that, Gavi," he said, his voice low and seductive. "You're too precious to me. I need you."
Gavi's heart sank. He knew he was in trouble, trapped in a web of Robert's twisted desires. He was powerless, his every move dictated by the man who held his future, and perhaps even his life, in his hands.
"I'm not yours," Gavi said, his voice a mere whisper. "I'll never be yours."
Robert's smile was cold and cruel. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice a chilling promise. "We'll see about that."
