Chapter 54: Hopeless

"Alcide!" Sookie ran after Alcide, with Bill and Gabriela running after her.

"Sookie wait!" Gabriela screamed after her, when suddenly more wolves sprang out from the coolers.

One went after Bill, while two attacked Gabriela. Her eyes quickly glowed silver and she twirl her staff in her hand as both wolves curcled around the Nephilim.

Eric growled angrily as he saw in what possition his mate was, but before he could help her, one of the wolves run after the viking vampire.

Gabriela followed both wolves with her eyes, as they stood on each of her sides. She stood in the middle waiting for them to attack her, and as they jumped towards her she quickly crouched down and hold her staff in the middle.

Both wolves stabbed themselves on her staff, and she stood up as they shifted back into humans. They groaned in pain as Gabriela pulled out her mother's dagger and cut their heads off.

She felt fear going through her body and she quickly turned around and saw Russell cornering Sookie. The Nephilim growled in rage and speed up towards Russell, she wrapped her hand around his throat and lifted him up.

"Hello Russell. Did you miss me?" She growled angrily at him, before she threw him against the wall hard.

He groaned in pain before he started laughting at the Nephilim "There is that aspect of you, which I loathe." He glared at her in annoyance.

Gabriela growled and speed up towards him, as she pointed her mother's dagger over his heart.

"Look at me, you son of a bitch!" She growled angrily as she grabbed his face "I want my face to be the last thing you see... before I kill you!"

Gabriela was ready to drive the dagger into his heart, when Bill speed up towards the Nephilim and grabbed her by the shoulder "Gabi, don't do this. If he dies now, me and Eric are dead." That made Gabriela freeze for a second "You made a deal remember? You watched enough people that you loved, die in front of you. Do you want to see, Eric die in front of you?"

Gabriela pulled her mother's dagger away a bit and looked at Bill, with more calmer expression "He is not worth it, baby girl." She turned towards her mate as he walked towards them "Not right now at least."

Gabriela's eyes stopped glowing and she pulled her dagger away, before she approached Eric and hugged him around the waist, as he hugged her back.

Sookie then yelped as the Authority swarmed the place, and they pointed their guns at Russell, as the Chancellor Kibwe contained the scene.

"We will take over from here." Kibwe told them, as Eric, Gabriela and Bill moved to the side, while Sookie was pressed against the other wall, watching her best friend as she stood in between Bill and Eric, with her arms crossed and her expression cold.

That wasn't the Gabriela, she grew up with. She was definitely different. They all watched at they cuffed Russell, before they started hauling him out.

"You better hope you are not around when I am fully restored!" Russell yelled as he stood in front of Kibwe "And, oh, I will be. Authority!" Russell swore before spitting on Kibwe's shoes "What fucking Authority do you have? Given to you by what?! Lilith? Idiots. You're no better than humans with your absurd magical thinking. There is no Lilith."
