Alcide, Gabriela and Sookie were in Alcide's truck, he was driving with a sneer and bare his teeth in fury.
"What happened back there?!" Sookie yelled "Why were they all shifting? You almost shifted."
"Couldn't help it," his tone seemed normal and yet emotional "When that energy starts rolling, it takes you over. We're lucky we got out of there alive. Fuck!"
"I know it was terrible-"
Alcide then shook his head, trying not to yell at Sookie even if he was furious "You don't know anything." Alcide drove past a puddle causing the car to swerve seriously.
"If you don't slow down, you're gonna kill us!" Gabriela yelled with her eyes glowing bright red- orange "And I am not gonna die because of your fucked up girlfriend and a Mississippi pothole!"
He hit the brakes and swerved around, before the car stopped all together. The three of them sat in the car in silence as he calmed down.
"I had to be a bitch to make you listen," Gabriela glanced at him "I'm sorry."
"She wasn't always fucked up. We were great together," he then mused "When she wasn't drinking or cheating. She used to play horseshoes with my dad, help my mom plant tomatoes."
"But tonight she was half-naked in a wolf skin, getting branded," Sookie commented without any empathy so Alcide looked down.
"Tell us more about Russell Edgington!" Gabriela demanded him.
"He's just some rich vampire," he answered calmly "That's all I knew till tonight."
"I gotta talk to him." Sookie exclaimed so both, Gabriela and Alcide turned to face her in overwhelm.
"Are you out of your fucking mind?" Alcide asked her angrily.
"You're not going anywhere near him!" Gabriela yelled at her "He killed my parents! Are you out of you fucking mind!?" She snapped at her.
"The brand, the blood, the vampire," Sookie explained heatedly "He knows where Bill is, or he knows who knows."
"I promised Eric l'd keep you both out of trouble," Alcide said in a same tone "You ain't going near him. None of you. Especially not Gabriela!"
Sookie looked away as Gabriela crossed her arms.
