Sookie Stackhouse was a nervous wreck. She was standing in front of the French restaurant she was having a special dinner with Bill, when he proposed to her and she freaked out for a minute. She went to the bathroom to clean her head, but by the time she walked out ready to accept his proposal, Bill was gone.

The first person Sookie called was Gabriela, and she explained to her what happened. And after the Nephilim promised her that she was going to be there as soon as she can, Sookie called the police.

Right now both Gabriela and Sookie were standing side by side, talking with Deputy Kenya Jones, who looked like she didn't gave a shit about what had happened to Bill, which pissed both girls off.

Bill became like an older brother to Gabriela, and after loosing Angelo, she couldn't bare the thought of loosing another brother. That will kill her.

"So-" Kenya began as she looked at Sookie "-he proposes to you, and you said what again?" She asked her in confusion.

Gabriela rolled her eyes and answered instead Sookie "She told him, that she needed a minute to think!" She snapped at her in aggravation "How many fucking times she have to tell you that!"

Sookie nodded, before she noticed the girl from the restaurant, pulling out her cigarette "Aren't you gonna stop her from trampling all over the crime scene?" She asked as she pointed towards her.

"Why aren't you taking this seriously, Kenya?" Gabriela asked her angrily "Her boyfriend had been kidnapped!"

"It is Deputy Jones." Kenya snapped at the Nephilim, who rolled her eyes "I'd appreciate you addressing me as such."

"I'll address you as 'Deputy Jones' once you start doing your job right." Gabriela snapped at her.

Kenya glared at her, before she turned towards Sookie "How long were you in the bathroom?"

Sookie sighed "No more than a minute or two."

"Was it one or two?" Kenya asked her.

Gabriela growled at her "What difference does it make... when every second you spend questioning us, these bastards get further away?" She yelled at her.

Sookie looked at her best friend with furrow brows. She knew that Gabriela loved Bill like a brother, and she also was scared for him, but Sookie also knew that Gabriela's aggravation was coming from somewhere else. She just couldn't put her finger on it.

"What if there were no bastards?" Kenya's voice broke Sookie from her thoughts "What if, while your friend was in the bathroom for a minute or two..." Her eyes then moved towards Sookie "...your vampire friend realized he didn't wanna be humiliated anymore, took off?"

Sookie scoffed at her "How do you explain the turned-over tables?" She asked her then "To me, looks like evidence of a struggle."

"To me, it looks like a man lost his temper... with good reason." Kenya responded.
