12. An Option!

Marona's POV

"She is a Delgado now and can't be free from the responsibility... We can't leave her in a cruel world to die."
He smirked and I sensed his fucked up intentions.
"Don't worry, Marona... I'll give you shelter. I am going to marry you..."

My soul almost knocked out of my body when Leonardo said that. What the hell is he even talking about, I am his daughter in law. How can he look at me with different eyes, he should be ashamed of himself.
From whom he wants to protect me, it's him who is a monster and I need to be saved from him.

I thought they would force Rafael on me but here he is planning to trap me in his sick desires. Disgust crawled in my body when I looked at his face. I looked around with my glossy eyes for help but no one dared to oppose him.
All are sick bastards, no one wants to stand for me.

I looked at Rafael and he was looking at me blankly like it's none of his business.
I turned helplessly towards Damon but he was just looking at me helplessly like he wants to do something but can't.

My blood boiled in anger. I'll kill myself but I will never give myself to Leonardo. Never!

I opened my mouth to protest but my eyes fell on Mikhail and he shook his head in warning. Like he was warning me not to say anything. My mind is filled with confusion, what does he want?
Is he trying to protect me again? He knows that if I opened my mouth then Leonardo might hurt me badly. Is that why he is warning me to stay quiet?

"What do you say, Marona?"
Leonardo looked at me with his dirty gaze and I never felt so disgusted.
"You would love to marry me, won't you?"
Like he cares about my opinion.

He is so disgustingly full of himself. What does he even think of himself?
I gulped and decided to make a decision for myself.
"I apologise, Mr. Delgado. I mean no disrespect in your honour but I am not yet over with the mourn for my husband. I hope you understand my feelings and give me some time to recover first. I have no intentions or desire to marry any other man."

He doesn't deserve the respect I gave him but I have to sound sincere or else he might get offended and hurt me. If he gives me atleast few days then I'll find out the escape from here. Just a few days!

"See, that's why I love this girl."
He chuckled proudly. Stupid man doesn't know that I was faking it.
"She knows how to use her pretty tongue... She is well groomed, isn't she?"
He laughed with his close man and then looked at me.
"Don't worry, Sweetheart... People die but nothing stops because of it. I'll give you two days to mourn for my beloved son... After two days, I'll take you as my wife."

No! I wanted to cry on his face. I don't want to marry you sick bastard.

"Till then you will be in my basement... I can't risk letting you escape like you tried just now."
He smirked.

I shook my head in horror.
"Basement?"
Is this how my life is going to be now? If he locked me in the basement then I won't be able to escape.

I looked at Mikhail again and he was typing something on his phone. He is the only one who is giving me reactions in this silent auction where only Leonardo is trading me.

He looked up at me and at the same time Lovina entered hurriedly inside the assembly hall.
"Father, Someone has set the basement on fire and all the captives are missing."
She declared.

I looked at her shocked and turned towards Mikhail who was smirking like he has something to do with it.

"Who the hell is trying to fuck with me?"
Leonardo growled angrily and got up from his throne.
He crossed me and ordered Lovina.
"Keep her under your protection, if she goes missing then I'll throw you in front of my hounds."
