67. Insane?

Mikhail's POV

Something big has happened in the past of Miguel. She knew something gruesome because of which she suffered so much.
But who were those people. Why did they hurt her family. Why was their happy family destroyed like this?

Was it related to her mother, there must be a reason why we are facing difficulties to find her mother. She hid it on purpose or she actually had no identity?
But what does her mother possibly do to deserve that death?

They could have killed Miguel and her father also but they chose to make them insane, why?

Whatever the reason was, Miguel has suffered the most in this.
The girl was given a lethal drug because of which she almost lost her identity.
Now I understand why she didn't recognise me when I talked to her when she was Devi. The drug had started working and she was facing difficulties to remember things.

I was so wrong to judge her. She had a reason and I only had complaints.

Mallika was suffering too when she was talking to me but I only judged her impulsive and aggressive behaviour.

But where is she now, why is she hiding now? Are they still trying to hurt her and is she still trying to hide from them?

Will she ever think of taking revenge because Rotero said that she was strong when she left. How do I find her, they don't even have her picture.

Where are you Miguel?

She had suffered so much, no wonder she was mature at a young age. Now I can read between the things she used to say to me.
For some reason it feels like she is around me, she is watching me how I am doing all this and how I am trying to find her. It feels like she is testing me but it can be my illusion too.
If she is watching me then why won't she come in front of me?

Fuck there are so many mysteries which are still pending to solve. Her mother's identity, her killers and the reason, Miguel's current state and why she was forced to live like a boy.

Will her father be in the right state of mind to answer my questions?

"Jeh, any information about her father?"
He looked as bothered as me. He has got too much involved in this and this is what I didn't want for Marona.
She will stress herself for nothing. I know that her intelligence can solve the mystery soon but it's not worth it.

"I have a file about him... He didn't have any fixed job. His portfolio shows that he has done multiple jobs throughout his life."
Jeh handed me the file.

"And you are telling me this now?"
I grabbed the file from him.

"I got the information this morning. We are still checking on Rotero's sister to see if there is any link between them and Miguel"
He informed.

Yes, we need to check that too. Why does Miguel choose to crash in the tribal area in the whole world. Did she somehow know that tribals can help her. That's another mystery.

I opened the file and saw that her father Ivan had done multiple jobs. Such jobs which need expertise and looking at his photo, it doesn't seem that he had that qualification then what's the reason?
It only happens when a person has a purpose to change jobs.

I looked at his picture carefully. There was a tattoo on his arm.
"Jeh, does this tattoo look familiar to you!"

Jeh grabbed the photograph and looked at it carefully. His eyes slowly widened in realisation.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck...."

I knew it! The way this case was suppressed, I knew that someone powerful was manipulating it.

"Shit! But all of them were supposed to be dead. How is he still alive?"
Jeh asked in disbelief.
