***Annie pov***
I got out of the car and Shay took my 1 bag. Then 5 kids came running out of the house. "Hi! I'm Avia! I'm 10!" Avia said. "I'm Emmi! I'm 7!" Emmi said. "I'm Brock! And I'm 5!" Brock said hugging me. Then the older boy rolled his eyes. "I'm Gavin." And he went back inside. "I'm sorry. That's Gavin and he is 12." Colette said. "Oh wait! We forgot one, this is are youngest, Daxton" Shay said, he handed me to him and he hugged me. "What's your name?" Avia said, I looked at Colette and she looked at Avia. "This is Annie. She is 9 years old." Shay said. Emmi took my hand and showed me the inside of there huge house. They showed me everyone's room and were everyone is. Then they showed me my room. It's was huge and the walls were pink my favorite color. I had a TV and queen sized bed. I smiled and hugged her.

***SHAY POV**

"Avia, Gavin, Brock, Emmi come here please." They all came running into our bedroom. "Kids we want to talk to you about Annie" I said. "Okay Daddy." Brock said. "Annie is 9 years old and came from an abusive orphanage. She has this thing called Selective Mutism. It's where she doesn't talk. She can talk she just doesn't want to." Dad said. "Who cares." Gavin said.

***Annie pov***
I wanted to talk I was just really scared. So I thought I would give it a try. I walked into the kitchen where Colette was cooking. "Hey baby girl." She said. "H-hi." I said. It's really hurt my throat. I looked at her and smiled. "Did you just talk!" She basically screamed. I nodded. "Y-yes!" I said I smiled even more. "Oh my gosh!" Colette said. Shay came running into the room video taping. "What? What!"" He said. "Turn the camera off." Mom said. He turned it off. "So what!?" Dad said. "Annie spoke!" Mom said. He hugged me and smiled. "Say something again." Dad said smiling. "Your cool!" I said and I laughed. I went into Avia's room and Emmi was in there. "Hi Annie!" They said. "Hi Avia and Emmi!" I said, they looked at me and hugged me. "Wanna play American dolls with us?" Avia said. "Uh, I'm gonna go to sleep. I'm tired." I said walking to my room. I saw Gavin and I smiled at him and he rolled his eyes at me. "What?" I said. "Nothing." He said. We went into his room. "Obviously you don't like me." I said. "I don't like you. Nothing your gonna do is gonna make me like you." He said shoving me out of his room. "Wow, way to make your adopted sister feel welcome!" I said under my breath.

****ITS BEEN ABOUT A MONTH NOW!****
We are on summer vacation so I don't have school. Gavin still hates me. "Hey mom." I said walking in her room. "Hey baby girl what's up?" She said. I jumped on her bed and sat down next to her. "Everything alright?" She said. "Yeah totally!" I said laughing. Even though my oldest brother hated me and I don't even know why. "Well in gonna go." I said leaving her room. I went to my room and I saw Gavin. I waved to him. "Slut." He said. "What the heck! I'm 9 years old! I don't even know what that means!" I said back to him. "You don't know cause your stupid!" He said laughing. "I haven't done anything to you. Why can't you just like me?" I said tearing up. "I will never like you. Okay. We only got you cause MY mom and dad felt bad. They told me what that dangly called you. Worthless, so they got you cause they felt bad!" He yelled. "I hate you!" I screamed slamming my door. I started to cry. "Annie, are you okay?" I heard Avia say. "I know your crying." Avia Said. "I'm fine!" I yelled back.

***Avia Pov***
I knew Annie wasn't okay. I heard her and Gavin yelling at eachother. So I went into his room. "Why did you make Annie cry?" I yelled at him. "Cause she is dumb. She isn't my blood related sister. We got her a month ago. We are gonna give her back up. They just felt bad. My parents should of asked me who they were gonna get. We don't need to open up our house to anybody." Gavin yelled at me. "So you jealous! WE ARENT GOING TO GIVE HER UP!" I screamed. I ran out of his room to mom and dad. "TELL GAVIN WE ARENT GIVING UP ANNIE!" I screamed. "What? We're did he even get that idea?" Mom said. "Please send him to us." Dad said. I got Gavin and he went to mom and dad.

**ANNIE POV**
I don't know why he hates me. I just want to loved by everyone. I wiped my tear away and walked to the kitchen. He came out of mom and dads room. We passed eachother and when we did he pushed me to the ground. I started crying. "Ow!" I cried. "Baby girl what happened!?" Dad said picking me up. "I-I fell." I said Lying. Gavin laughed. Dad hugged me. "Kids bedtime!" Mom screamed. I ran to my room and got undressed and changed into my Pjs when Gavin came into my room. He closed my door. "Listen up, they are MY parents let me say that again MY, my parents. I don't like when you call them mom and dad." Gavin said pushing me into the wall. Then he left. I put my head in my knees and cried.
*knock knock* it was mom. I immediately shot up and wiped my tears. "Baby, why are you crying? I came to see if you were in bed." Mom said. "Thanks m- I mean thanks. I'm fine." I said. "Okay, you can always come to me." Mom said hugging me. "Thanks, I'm really tired." I said laying down in bed. She kissed my forehead and left. I need to find out why Gavin doesn't like me., and fast.
