Third Person's POV
Maxine spotted Aiesha standing motionless, her eyes fixed on the fallen Luciano.
Without a second thought, Maxine pushed her way through the crowd.
She reached Aiesha, grabbing her arm with a grip that was both firm and urgent.
"What the f*ck are you doing Alvarez, come on!" Maxine shouted, worried for the other girl washed over her."We need to get out of here!"
Kasabay nila ay ang mga nag kakagulo naring mga tao kung kanina ay makikitaan mo sila ng posture ngayon ay para na silang mga daga na takot na takot sa mga buhay nila
"Stay close," Maxine said. She pulled Aiesha through a side corridor, sobrang higpit ng hawak niya dito na para bang ayaw na niya itong bitawan
She's calm, pero may halong kaba lalo pa at alvarez ang kasama niya, pag nakita siya ng dad niya, panigurdong patay siya.
Alam niya sa sarili niya na pwede naman niyang Iwan ang dalaga doon at umalis na lang.
But the sight of Aiesha's pale face and trembling hands stirred a concern that Maxine couldn't resist.
"This way," Maxine directed curtly, her voice carrying an edge of impatience as they approached a service exit.
She opened the door with a forceful shove, revealing the parking lot of the venue
Maxine glanced back, making sure no one was following them, then turned her attention back to Aiesha.
"You need to stay close and keep quiet. We're not out of danger yet."
Aiesha nodded, pero mahahalata mo parin ang takot sa kanya sa mga nangyari.
Hindi pa sila nakaka layo ay may humintong Van sa harap nila.
MAXINE'S POV
Napahinto kami ng may humintong van sa harap namin and then suddenly.
The side door slid open, revealing Cole, Gian, and Skye with their teasing look. Kung wala siguro kami sa sitwasyon na toh nasapok ko na sila.
Si cole ung driver sinigurado muna niyang walang naka sunod samin bago siya humarap sakin.
"Get in. We don't have much time," she said.
Agad kong inalalayan si alvarez nanginginig parin siya hanggang ngayon, and I climbed in after her, shutting the door behind us with a solid thud.
As the van sped off, I positioned myself next to Alvarez. My focus was entirely on her, I couldn't take my eyes off her, I was worried...
"Luciano's hit was a message, Maxine. This wasn't random-it was planned. Security's compromised, and whoever did this wanted to send a clear signal to everyone in that room." seryosong saad ni gian.
"They took out Luciano in the middle of his event. That's a declaration of war. The families are going to be in chaos after this, and it's not safe for any of us right now, especially not for her." dugtong na sabi ni skye at binalingan ng tingin ang babaeng katabi ko na namumutla na...f*ck them.
"Alvarez, look at me. You're safe now, but you need to stay alert. This is just the beginning." umpisa pa lang toh kung ganto na siya hindi siya tatagal sa pamilya niya.
Dahan dahan niyang sinalubong ang mga tingin ko, mababakas dito ang takot at pag kalito sa mga nang yayari
She nodded faintly, maybe trying to grasp the reality of the situation, nagulat ako nang sumandal siya sakin.
"Thank you..." she faintly said.
Ilang minuto pa ay ramdam ko na ung pag bigat ng ulo niya.
She's asleep...dahan dahan kong sinandal sa upuan ang katawan niya at hinayaan siyang matulog.
"Hindi matutuwa si tito pag nalaman niya, na niligtas mo ang anak ng mga alvarez" napatingin ako kay cole sa side mirror.
She's right.
"She needs help," malamig na saad ko.
"Don't use that sentence to me, bro, kilala kita" - cole
"But it's true, I'm just helping her, mukang hindi na niya kasi alam ung gagawin niya kanina" inis na sabi ko sa kanila
"Fine sabihin na nating tinulungan mo lang siya, so what now? Dadalin ba natin yan sa manor ng mga alvarez? Alam mong gulo pag nakita nilang ikaw ang kasama ng anak nila"
"I don't f*cking care Cole, ibabalik natin siya sa magulang niya, and after that sa HQ tayo"
As we approached the towering gates of Alvarez Manor, Cole slowed the van, entering a long, winding driveway lined with old, towering oaks that loomed like silent sentinels
The mansion came into view, malaki siya pero mas malaki ang manor ng mga lazzaro.
Agad kong nilungon ung katabi ko, mahimbing parin ung tulog niya kaya binuhat ko na lang siya.
"Bakit hindi mo na lang gisingin yan, para maka alis narin tayo?" saad ni gian.
"I don't want to wake her up," malamig kong sabi at sinara ko na ung pinto.
Umakyat ako sa grand staircase ng manor nila bago ko marating ang malaking double door.
Where are their butlers? bakit wala man lang humarang samin?
Bubuksan ko na sana ung pinto pero kusa na itong bumukas, revealing Elias Alvarez.
One of the most powerful men in the city. His piercing eyes immediately locked onto his daughter, a mix of anger and concern flickering across his face.
"Aiesha," he said, his voice void of any emotion, kung normal na tao siguro ko kanina pa ko naihi sa takot.
Pero sorry siya Lazzaro ko...
"What in the hell have you done to her!?"
At dahil sa sigaw niya ay nagulat ung buhat-buhat ko at agad na nag tama ung mata namin, dahan dahan ko siyang binaba hanggang sa maka tayo na siya ng diretso at humarap sa daddy niya
"Hindi mo ba alam kung gaano kami nag alala sayo ng mom mo ng bigla ka na lang mawala nung namatay ung ilaw"
She flinched at the sharpness of his voice, f*ck him.
"Don't shout at her, Mr. Alvarez! Ako ang tumulong sa kanya kung hindi ko siya inalis don baka wala narin kayong anak ngayon" malamig na saad ko.
Galit na binalingan niya ko ng tingin, and I stared back at him. "Maxine Lazzaro, I didn't expect my daughter's safety to fall into the hands of the enemy's heir."
"I'm not your enemy tonight. Your daughter was caught in the crossfire of something bigger, something she wasn't prepared for."
"She deserves to know the truth," I said firmly.
"You can't keep her in the dark anymore. Not after tonight." Kung hindi nila sasabihin ako na ang mag sasabi.
"Fine, but as for you, Maxine... tonight's actions don't change our family's past.
"I didn't do this for you, I did this for her," I said and stepped back, giving Aiesha a final look before turning and leaving the Alvarez manor.
Agad akong sumakay sa van, at pinaharurot na yon ni cole pa alis.
