Some of the Donquixote Pirates officers stood on the second level of the Royal Palace, looking down at the incoming coliseum fighters. They were easily defeating the Royal Army guards.
Dellinger: Eek! Such power!
Machvise: They've gone mad!
Gladius: Still they defy the Young Master?
Lao G: They won't make it this far; they'd have to break through Fujitora's Marine blockade!
Orrom: I kind of hope some of them get through. They look like they'd be fun to fight.
Morro: And Pica's been stopped...
Baby 5: Seems it was the Straw Hats who stopped Pica after all.
Morro blinked and then did a double-take. He leaned down as if trying to get a better look at something.
Morro: Is that a ladder of civilians?
The other officers looked where Morro was pointing. Their jaws dropped when they saw Dressrosa citizens standing on each other's shoulders, forming a ladder leading up to the first level of the Royal Palace.
Dellinger: Eek! What's going on?!
Orrom: Look! Someone's climbing it!
Indeed, a woman with indigo hair tied up in a bun was climbing up the ladder of people, a bird flying next to her.
Lao G: Who in blazes in that?!
As soon as the woman reached the first level, the ladder of people collapsed, and they started plummeting towards the ground.
Luckily, the incoming group of coliseum fighters caught the ones falling from the huge height.
Morro: What?! Coliseum fighters?!
Dellinger: Eek! Gross, what's going on?! Why are they here now?!
The fighters began to scale the mountainside, trying to climb all the way to the first level.
Orrom: Whoa, whoa! I know I said I wanted some to come, but not all of them!
Morro: There should have been thousands of Marines down there, plus Vice Admiral Bastille!
Lao G: Not to mention Admiral Fujitora! How did they get through?!
Meanwhile, a transponder snail reported that Luffy's group had made it to the first step.
Baby 5 looked through a pair of binoculars. She noticed something.
Baby 5: There! All the Marine forces are being held down! There's a wall of fire between them and the fighters!
...
On the first step of the palace, Luffy, Moocy, Abdullah. Jeet, (Y/N), Tsutsumi, and Lorelei were fighting their way through crowds of Royal Army soldiers.
They defeated everyone in their path with ease.
Soon enough, Cabbage came riding towards the group on a horse.
Luffy: Hmm? Oh! It's him! Cabbage!!
Cabbage: Straw Hat!! I'll see you when you get there!!
Luffy: Damn, I thought I was taking a shortcut!! But everyone else caught up!!
All of the coliseum fighters had finished scaling the mountainside and were now attacking the guards as well.
