As the Donquixote Pirates were getting arrested by the Marines, a indigo-haired woman was lurking behind a corner, carefully avoiding the Marines.

Herodias: <thinking> Damn those pirates... Damn (Y/N) and that tentacle woman! My precious Birdy is dead because of them!

She saw a Marine soldier glancing in her direction. She gasped and hurried away, gritting her teeth in anger.

Herodias: <thinking> I'll get my revenge on them soon.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out a mini transponder snail.

Herodias: <thinking> Looks like my dad will get his wish. The Nephilim will give me the power to crush those pirates...

...

That night, the Straw Hats, Law, and an injured Bellamy were staying at Kyros's home in Carta, the eastern town of Dressrosa.

Luffy, Usopp, Law, Bellamy, and Kyros were all fast asleep while Zoro, Robin, (Y/N), and Franky were talking to Sabo, who was visiting them.

Sabo: No need to wake him up, Robin. I just came to see him before I leave.

Robin: You're leaving the country already?

Sabo: CP0 turned around and is on their way back here. They're coming for us. Dressrosa will be in great chaos for the next day or two. You should leave as soon as you can.

Zoro: Y'know, I still can't get over that there was a third brother in addition to Ace.

Franky: Yeah, it's the first I've heard of it.

Sabo: That figures. Luffy was the most surprised of anyone, I'm sure.

(Y/N): What do you mean?

Sabo: After all, I was pronounced dead years ago.

(Y/N) and Zoro looked at each other, slightly surprised.

Sabo: Ace, Luffy, and I raised all kinds of hell when we were kids. Ol' Garp would try to beat some sense into us, and we decided we'd grow up to be pirates. That's what we swore when we shared the cups of brotherhood. By one day there was an accident—no, an incident.

He explained how he had tried to escape from his noble parents on a ship that ended up getting blown to pieces. He ended up getting saved by Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army, who took him in. Only...

Zoro: You were suffering from memory loss that whole time?!

Sabo: The only thing clear to me was the strong desire not to go back to my parents. I couldn't remember anything else.

Franky: I'm surprised your memory came back to you.

Sabo: It was only because of Ace. That's what I now believe. In a way, he said, "You're Sabo, brother to me and Luffy." It happened in the worst possible way, but perhaps that's the only reason he was able to wake my memory.

He said that his memory had been jogged when he saw a newspaper mentioning the Summit War at Marineford and how Portgas D. Ace had been killed.

When he was finished with his story, he got to his feet and took out a piece of paper.

Sabo: Well, so long!

Robin: Already?

Sabo: I got a good look at him. Here, this is Luffy's Vivre Card. I had it made.
