Travis POV

The morning had came and gone, Taylor and i had gone back downstairs to eat our breakfast this time without her leaving the table.

Knowing that she felt the same way about me that i did for her was bittersweet, I know knew that i wasn't being crazy nor was i feeding myself false information but on the other hand we both know it is against the rules and i tried to make it a habit of mine to not break rules.

I was sitting at the kitchen counter doing work on my laptop when i heard Taylor walk up behind me

"What are you doing?" she asks slowly

"Finishing off this work to keep you safe" I answer, spinning in my chair so i was now facing her

"Oh what a horrible job" She laughs out and i can't help but smile at how adorable her laugh sounds

"It really is, it just happens that some people really don't like you" I chuckle

"I gathered that, It's pretty hard to like me"

"I don't find it hard at all, in fact i was finding it harder to try and dislike you" I admit making her smile

"I'm glad you like me now"

"I always did."

We both parted ways shortly after our conversation to go and get ready for the day. Once i was showered and dressed in day clothes i went to go place a knock on Taylors bedroom door. Now that it was out in the open about how we felt i didn't have to hide that fact that i enjoyed her company.

After knocking and not getting a response i decide to knock again, while my only intention of seeing her was to have a conversation with her i was still in charge of keeping her safe and right now that was more important.

After again not getting a response i open the door to find Taylor sitting on her bed cross legged with her back to the door and her head dropped.

"Are you okay?" I ask, worried as to why she was sitting on the bed but couldn't call through the door

"I'm fine just leave me alone" she quietly says and i am a little taken back

"Why, What's happened?" I ask

"Travis seriously just go away" She yells, snapping her head up as she spoke

"I will leave once i know that you aren't hurt okay, i respect your privacy but i have to see that you are at least physically okay" I try to stay calm after she just yelled but i was confused by it

"I'm fine see" Taylor gets up from the bed and moves so now she is facing me "Nothing to worry about, no cuts no blood no gun shot wounds so go away" She snaps back

If someone where to tell me that this Taylor standing in front of me was the same one who was in this room half an hour ago upset because she touched my hand i would have laughed in their face. She was acting completely different and i was worried but also just confused

"Okay well what's wrong?" I try to ask

"it doesn't matter okay, leave me alone"

" I was just trying to help Taylor fuck me, you really are a handful aren't you" I blurt out and immediately regret it

"What? If you don't want the job you can leave if i am too much of a handful for you" She scoffs out

"No i didn't mean that I'm sorry" I try but she shakes her head

"Sure seemed like you meant it"

"Well i just apologized so clearly i didn't"

"You could have been lying though" She says and i can't help but chuckle at her words, what had gotten into her that she was so annoyed

"Have i done something wrong?" I ask, trying to get to the bottom of what has happened

"Yes, you don't leave when i ask you to and you are annoying and you don't stop staring and worst of all you said you have feelings for me and there is nothing i can do about it so please just leave" She blurts out

"Taylor I'm sorry"

"Please just leave Travis i need a minute" She says and with that i walk away

There was not a single bone in my body that wanted to leave Taylor alone in her room but of course i had to.

I didn't really know how to feel, i thought we were both on the same page about us not being able to act on the feeling we have for each other but by the way that Taylor just acted and what she just said tells me other wise.

I wanted to make sure she was okay but i also needed to respect her privacy and her wishes by not going back into her room.
