"There's my beautiful girlfriend."
Mar smiled weakly as she allowed Robby to wrap his arms around her. She held unto his shirt, inhaling his scent.
Barnes had instructed for everyone to gather round in some opening in the forest. Mar knew of it because she would sometimes hike her with her father when they were younger and he was really into fitness.
"It kills me not being able to sleepover with you." Robby pouted as she pulled away from the hug, looking down to her.
"I just want to make sure that we get our proper sleep." Mar yawned slightly as she looked around the opening they were at.
"I only get proper sleep with you." Robby told the girl honestly. She just gave him a weak smile as they pulled away from one another's embrace, holding hands. Robby couldn't help but to frown slightly. "Hey, are you okay?"
"What?" Mar's brows pulled together in confusion as she looked to the boy who wore a worried look on his face.
"You've been acting really sad lately, and I thought it was just because of training but.." Robby trailed off with a slight frown. "Did I do something to upset you?"
"No, no, not at all." Mar quickly said with a shake of her head before she sighed. "Lately, I've just been.. going through a lot?"
"Well you know you can talk about it with me, right." Robby whispered out to her slightly. "I'm always here to listen to you, love."
"I know, I know." Mar quickly said, flashing him a small smile. "I guess I've just been thinking about my dad a lot. It doesn't help that we came here today. My dad and I used to go on little hikes here with his buddies."
"I understand." Robby sighed as he wrapped his arm around the girl's shoulders, squeezing her comfortingly. "If you want to leave just let me know, okay?"
"Okay." Mar said with a small smile as she leaned her head against his shoulder. "I love you so much."
"I love you more." Robby whispered out, and before she could fight him on that.. Barnes had called them over to him.
"Last night, I reviewed my notes." Barnes told all the students and their senseis. "I've decided to eliminate two persons who did not meet the requirements. Alyssa and Red."
Mar's lips parted in shock as she looked to Alyssa. The girl looked as if she wanted to cry. Eli immediately reached out to her but she brushed away his hand.
"For the remaining four.. I've decided it's too close to call." Barnes continued on. "So... you're all gonna get another opportunity to prove yourselves. Two flags wait deep in the forest. Whoever brings them back... wins."
Everyone immediately began talking. Alyssa used the bustling of everyone as her moment to quickly go to the bathroom.
Mar followed after her, stopping her before she could close the door to the port-a-potty. Alyssa clenched her jaw as she looked up to refrain from crying.
"Alyssa this isn't fair to you at all." Mar quickly told the girl with a frown. "He should not get away with this. I'm going to tell the senseis."
"No!" Alyssa quickly said with an annoyed look on her face. "Just leave it alone, Mar. If you tell them or Sam or anyone else and make things worse I swear to God I will never talk to you again."
"Alyssa.." Mar frowned deeply at the girl, her heart breaking as she felt all the progress they had been making fall apart.
"Just leave it alone and leave me alone." Alyssa said before she slammed the door to the port-a-potty.
